Chapter 8 - If You Love Me..

"Mako? Gising na."

Ken was startled by Teejay's voice, his eyes opened immediately then sat up on the bed.

"Naks, parang sundalo lang ah. S'ya nga pala nagpaalam si Tita Esther, may pupuntahan lang daw s'ya."

Ken stared blankly ahead. He knew that his mom was off to do something important.

"Yes, Dy. We talked last night."

He stood up and stretched his arms.

"Hindi mawala sa isip ko yung warning kagabi."

"Tama si Tita Esther, kung si Drew 'yon wala tayong dapat paniwalaan sa sinasabi n'ya."

"Paano kung hindi, Dy?" he walked towards the sink in the bathroom. "Paano kung hindi si Drew 'yon?"

"Mga bata lang 'yon. Mga taga boulevard lang 'yon na nangaasar."

"Eh bakit, kilala ako?"

"Are you underestimating how famous you are? Ikaw ang SK Chairman dito tapos lalo ka pang sumikat noong naging PPSK ka."

Teejay had a huge point on the matter. Ken was involved in politics for years now, and still counting.

Ken was reassured that it could just be some kids from the streets that threw the rock through their window.

"Or maybe.." Teejay stood up by the bathroom door with a villainous grin on his face. "..it was a time traveller and he threw the rock in to warn us of our impending doom!"

His voice acting was good. He sounded like someone from a movie.

Ken spit out the water in his mouth.

He stared at Teejay and checked if he was serious or not.

Ken shrugged.

"It's a joke!"

"Nahahatawa." Ken sarcastically answered with a toothpaste foam inside his mouth. His words were barely understandable.

Teejay chuckled but Ken knew better. He thought that Teejay could be right since he himself is a time traveller.

But if it, in fact, was a time traveller then who was it?

He rinsed his mouth and grabbed his phone from the bed.

"Dy. Nagdadalawang isip talaga ako about sa hiking."

"Kung kailan naman ready na ang lahat."

Ken received a text message from Jancel and read it.

-Ano na bes? 🙄
-Hugutin na ang 🍆 at andito na kami ni Raiza.
-Okay lang ba na sinama ko ang boyfriend ko? 💅💅

"Dy, andun na sa labas sila Jancel."

The boys scrambled and immediately went into the bathroom to shower.

"Ilapit n'yo na ang mga bags n'yo doon sa sasakyan n'yo. Tatay saan natin pasasakayin si Andoy?"

"Tanungin mo na lang siya, Nay, matanda na 'yan." Luis said as he pushed the tricycle out of the garage.

"Babe, dito ka na lang. Sa likod na lang si Raiza."

"Hoy, grabe ka naman. Hindi na lang ako sasama." Raiza threatened to grab her pink PUMA travelling bag.

"Charot lang!" Jancel grabbed Drew's arm. He was like a princess being escorted by a prince across the road towards Ken's garage.
