The next morning, I was woken up bright and early by one of the palace servants. She was the one I met on my first day in the palace.

"Where is Rain?" I asked.

"He is not allowed to see you before the ceremony. More Edenian tradition, I'm afraid,"

I rolled my eyes. Edenian tradition surely had ruined a lot of opportunities for Rain and I. The servant got started with my makeup first, applying a light layer of purple, and a light layer of gold over it, and then repeating it on my eye. Rain had told me purple and gold were his favorite colors.

After the servant was done with my eyeshadow, she brushed blush against my cheeks lightly. "You seem excited. I must warn you, though, Miss Leigh-Ann,"

"What is it?"

"Prince Rain can be quite arrogant and egotistical sometimes. Do not expect him to always be nice to the other nobles, especially those from other kingdoms,"

"Oh...why do you think that is?" I tilted my head.

"Keep your head still," She commanded, "I am not sure. It may have something to do with the fact that he is a demi god. I'm not trying to scare you. It's just a warning,"

"He's been nothing but kind-"

"Yes, to you," The servant sighed. "Anyway, my goal is not to disappoint you on your big day," She said as she put a small amount of lip gloss on me. "Now go try on the dress,"

The dress was absolutely stunning. As I put it on, I couldn't help but feel like it wasn't meant for me. I sighed, as I smoothed down the fabric of the dress. It was a gorgeous bright white, with purple and gold accents. Obviously Rain had picked it out, and I had to admit that it made my heart flutter.

"You look beautiful," The servant said with a smile, as she handed me a bouquet of flowers. Even the flowers were purple and gold. I lifted them up to my nose, and took in their scent.

"Rain really knows how to pick this stuff out," I giggled.

"I told him you would like it," The servant gasped, as she looked at me with the dress, makeup, and bouquet of flowers in hand. "You are going to make that man swoon, for sure,"

I smiled as I looked at myself in the mirror, sniffing the flowers again.

"Would you like anything to be done to your hair?" She asked.

"Oh, do you think you could do just a braid?"

The servant smiled, "Absolutely,"

By the time she was finished, my hair was in a gorgeous braided updo. A few loose wisps of hair had cascaded onto my shoulder, but it didn't ruin the look.

"You look regal," She complimented, "and ready to be Queen,"

"I think I'm as ready as I'll ever be,"

Staying away from Rain for most of the day felt like torture almost. I was with my mother, Kitana Kahn, Sindel, and Jade for most of the day.

"Gods, Leigh-Ann, you really look amazing in that," Kitana sighed, "I hope one day to be as beautiful as that when Liu Kang and I get married,"

"Oh, please," I blushed, "I have nothing on you, Kitana,"

The girl talk went on for a little bit longer until another servant came to get us. It was time to walk down the aisle. I took in a huge deep breath as I linked arms with father.

Rain stood at the end of the aisle, a smile on his unmasked face.

As I took my place across from him, the minister started on his opening words. "We are gathered here today to celebrate not only the marriage between Prince Rain, and Lady Leigh-Ann, but the beginning of a whole new rule for Edenia. I'm glad to hear that the two of you have written your own vows. Lady Leigh-Ann, you may go first,"

I sighed, deeply, my face going hot with nerves. "When my parents first told me about this opportunity, I was quite skeptical. But then, when I saw you, that night in the throne room, it immediately made me feel better, more optimistic about the whole thing. We may have only known each other for two weeks, but I can tell that I will enjoy being with you, Prince Rain. I am glad I decided to go through with it,"

Rain smiled at me, as he opened his mouth to start his vows. "My darling, Leigh-Ann, I knew that you were the one the second you came into the palace's throne room. I am glad I have gotten to know you over these past two weeks. Everything I learn about you, I find something I love about you even more. You were certainly the best, and only choice for the role of my queen,"

I couldn't help but feel my eyes well with tears. Rain certainly had a way with making me his.

"Now that that is all said and done. Rain, you may kiss the bride,"

Rain wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me in for a long kiss. His tongue even darted out, gliding across my lower lip. But, he pulled away after that. He knew exactly what he was doing. After we were officially married, it was time for our crowning ceremony.

Queen Sindel and King Jerrod (if he was alive) were supposed to place their crowns on top of our heads, signifying us becoming King and Queen.

But, as King Jerrod was long gone, it was up to mainly Sindel.

Rain was crowned first. "King Rain, I hope you take this crown with dignity, honesty and integrity. I wish for you to have a peaceful ruling over Edenia. And most of all, I hope that you will live up to the man who wore this crown before you, and before him and so on,"

"Yes, of course, I will absolutely be wearing this crown with dignity, honesty, and integrity," Rain said with a nod, proud as Sindel placed the crown atop his head.

"Queen Leigh-Ann," Sindel started, "I can only hope that you will be a better Queen than I was, which I'm sure that you will be. You have a great heart, which will make for a strong ruler," Sindel placed the crown on my head, and just like that, everything had changed.

I went from being a simple Edenian girl to Queen of Edenia, with the former Prince Rain as my King.

The rest of the night, Rain and I stayed close, chatting with our very small group of guests as the night went on. Eventually though (and thank the gods I must say) our guests finally left.

"Today was exhausting," Rain said as the two of us got into bed. "I'm glad we finally get a few weeks to relax,"

"I didn't know the King and Queen were allowed to go on a honeymoon,"

"We aren't. Not really. But I asked to make an acception for us. I believe we need some time do ourselves, darling, don't you?"

"Yes," I said with a nod.

Rain pulled me into a cuddle, planting a kiss on top of my head.

"I am excited for tomorrow," He said, chuckling.

"Why?" I asked, "what are we doing tomorrow?"

"The Throne room gets to be redecorated to our liking. Along with most of the other royal palace rooms,"

"Let me guess...make the thrones purple and gold?" I giggled.

"You know me so well," Rain nodded. "Is it safe to say I love you?"

"I love you too, Rain,"

I think the night of our wedding was the first night I'd gone to bed, genuinely happy and content with my life in a long time.
