"How does a day at the beach sound to you, Leigh-Ann?" Rain asked, at breakfast the next morning.
"A day at the beach sounds lovely," I sighed. "Wait...is that the surprise?" I asked, smiling.
"Maybe," Rain chuckled. "Fine, you got me. That's the surprise,"
"You're the best!" I leaned over to hug him, and he wrapped his arm around me.
"I know I am," Rain smirked.
I giggled, shaking my head. "yeah,"
After eating our breakfast, Rain and I took a carriage ride down to the beach.
"Wow," I sighed, as I looked out the window. "It's beautiful,"
"Isn't it?" Rain asked, "And it's all ours, darling,"
After maybe a ten minute ride, we got to the beach. It really was a gorgeous beach. The water is usually an electric blue color. But, not anymore.
It had a slight green tinge to it, most likely trying to recover from the unmerging of Edenia and Outworld.
Rain and I stepped into the water. It was fairly musky. It felt wrong. So, Rain and I sat near the water instead, letting the waves crash over our feet.
"This week has been wonderful so far," I smiled, widely.
"It really has been," Rain nodded. "I'm glad that we've been able to spend time together. I love you, Leigh-Ann,"
"I love you too,"
Rain took a sip of his wine, and we just sat and looked at the water for a while. It was quite relaxing. However, it was cut short.
Someone from the palace staff showed up at the beach, not half an hour later. He was out of breath by the time he got to us, so we gave him a minute or too to catch his breath."I apologize, your majesties," He said, after catching his breath. "Kitana Kahn is here. And she brought a guest,"
Rain and I glanced at each other, and we made our way to the palace as quick as possible. Kitana was already in the royal conference room when we got there.
"I am sorry for not reaching out before I arrived," Kitana sighed. "But this is very important," She stepped aside, and behind her, stood none other than Tanya. Erron Black was there as well, most likely to make sure that Tanya didnt escape.
"What is she doing here?" Rain crossed his arms.
"She was in Outworld," Kitana replied. "Erron Black saw her sneak into the palace. I want something to be done with her,"
"She is a traitor to the Edenian crown," Rain decided. "That has been established already...it is not enough for execution, however,"
"Woah, why would we execute her?" I asked, holding my hands up.
"She is a traitor, indeed," Kitana nodded. "And actually, Rain, in Edenia, traitorous behavior is enough for execution. Not public execution, though,"
"I'd really enjoy it if my fate wasn't decided in my presence," Tanya snarled.
"I don't feel comfortable leaving you alone, Tanya," Kitana retorted. "If you wish, you can stay here with Erron, while Rain, Leigh-Ann and I discuss this in another room,"
"Fine by me," Erron shrugged.
"Fine," Tanya scoffed.
And so, Rain, Kitana and I moved to another room.
"Anyways," Rain started. "It does not need to be public...in fact, she doesn't really even need to be executed," Rain shook his head.
"That is up to you, Rain," Kitana agreed, "If that is what you want, then I would at least prefer you to keep her locked up. Leigh-Ann, this decision is yours too. What do you think?"
"Well, I agree with Rain. If the execution isn't needed, then we shouldn't do it It saves time just to put her in a cell, and hope she doesn't escape,"
"We will have our best guards at her cell at all times," Rain assured.
"I just wanna let you guys know," Erron started, after Tanya had been taken to her cell, "This could come back to bite you in the ass,"
"It could," Rain agreed. "But we'll make sure that it won't happen,"
"Just...be careful," Kitana sighed. "Make sure your guards never let her out of their sights,"
"Of course. Have a good trip back to Outworld,"
Rain wrapped his arm around my waist. "Don't listen to Erron. Tanya won't do anything,"
"How can you be sure?" I asked.
"Because if she does, she will be killed. Anyways, today is the last day of our honeymoon. Can we spend the rest of it maybe not talking about Tanya?"
I sighed. "Yeah. Can we go back down to the beach?"
"I mean...why go all the way back down there when we already came all the way back up here? I was actually thinking today maybe we could figure out what to do with that smaller ball room," He suggested. "I kind of want to see what you might have in mind for it,"
"I have a few ideas," I giggled.
"Good. Let's go do them," Rain smiled.
