[Sorry for the long wait for this chapter! I had some writer's block]

"Why do we have to do this again?" I sighed.

"Because, Raiden made us an offer and it could be very beneficial to us to start up an alliance with them," Rain replied, "Kitana doesn't have to know,"

"She'll end up finding out. Do you expect me to believe that Liu Kang wouldn't tell her?" I crossed my arms.

"Who says Liu Kang has to find out?" Rain smirked. "We'll be fine, so long as Kung Lao doesn't tell him,"

"And now can we make sure Kung Lao won't tell him?"

"We threaten him..." Rain suggested. "I'm not sure. But I doubt he'll say anything. In fact, I don't even think he's going to be at the Special Forces base when we get there. To my knowledge, it's just the Special Forces themselves. And Raiden,"

"Who is Raiden again?"

"The Thunder God. Earthrealm's protector,"

"Okay...." I trailed off.

At this point in my pregnancy, I was starting to get pretty big, even more so with the fact I was carrying twins. The palace staff were unsure I should have even been traveling.

And for sure, the last thing I wanted was to have my children in Earthrealm.

After a few hours of travelling, we made it to the Special Forces base, and sat in the conference room, awaiting General Blade and the rest.
They arrived a few moments after that.

"So, why exactly is this meeting in secret?" Sonya asked. "Why isn't Outworld knowing about this?"

"After the termination of our contractural agreement with them, Kitana Kahn decided we would no longer be their allies. And by association, that would mean Earthrealm too,"

"Kitana should not have made that choice for Earthrealm," Raiden said, with a disappointed look on his face.

"I don't understand why she did it," Rain shrugged. "Earthrealm and Edenia had no problems. The only conflict was with Outworld,"

"What did the contract entail?" Raiden questioned.

"It basically said that if Rain and I were to be seen as incompetent rulers by Kitana Kahn, we would be removed from our positions," I explained. "And then, Edenia and Outworld would be considered the same place once more. Though the remerging of the realms would be impossible,"

Raiden sighed. "It is good you terminated that contract,"

Rain and I both nodded. "Do we have an alliance here?"

"Not yet," Sonya spoke up. "If we're having an alliance, then that means we can count on Edenia for anything. That includes lending soldiers here and there. Are your armies up for that?"

Rain and I glanced at each other. "Well," Rain started. "Between the palace guards, and the two separate legions of Edenian armies. I think so. Just let us know whenever you would need them, General,"

Raiden nodded. "We will do so. We have a deal, King Rain. Queen Leigh-Ann," He bowed his head.

And just after that, I felt a cramp. A big one. My face contorted in pain, and I clutched my stomach.

"Leigh-Ann?" Rain asked. "What's wrong?"

"I...I don't know...it hurts,"

Sonya tilted her head. "How far along are you, Leigh-Ann?"

"She's almost 40 weeks along...right?"

I nodded. "I think, somewhere around there,"

"You might be going into labor. You need to go to the hospital,"
