We reached his house. Mr Evans called Asli, "hello Asli I know you have work to do. But please come over to my house. Sarah is with me now. We are waiting for you." He hung up.
"Sarah would you like to eat something?"
"No thanks."
After half an hour the doorbell rang. Alex opened the door and Asli came in.
"Why did you call me Alex?"  Asli asked
"Asli why did you do this? "
"What are you talking about Alex?"
"Sarah has told me everything Asli. So don't act stupid."
"What has she exactly told you? Sarah what have you said?"
"Everything she told me everything Asli. How you tricked her into complaining the HM. But you said entirely different things to the HM. You never gave her a chance to speak, never asked her if she wanted Jason to be unemployed. And moreover everything you said were not true."
"So all blames fall on me now? I wanted justice for my little sister."
"No all blames doesn't fall on you. Sarah is also to be blamed. She overreacted a bit. She should have waited a day or two. I blame Jason too. But you are mainly responsible for his suicide attempt."
"Sarah I just wanted you to be OK."
"Sister, I know but I told you today earlier I never wanted him to be unemployed. You told me you would say he is misbehaving with me. But in the office you said entirely different things. "
"Are those not true Sarah? Didn't he use you ?"
"If you complained about misbehave, he would have been warned. In this way he would have gotten the message not to mess with me again."
"Sister, another thing, you said to HM that there are other cases of sexual harassment against him? How did you know?"
"That's none of your business"
"Yes it is" shouted Alex "either you say or I am calling the police"
" OK I am telling. You know a few years ago I went to France for work purpose. There in that office I shared my desk with Maya, an employee of that office. I developed great friendship with her, even today I have connection with her. One day I saw a cut mark on her elbow. I asked her and she said there was one boy named Jason who tried to molest her two times. She tried to save herself and in that process got badly injured. This year when I saw Jason and came to know he is from France everything became clear. Now when I got a chance to get him punished I did."
"That's not true, Maya lied. She only forced herself upon him. So he pushed her away because at that time she was married to his own brother"
"He lied Sarah."
"No Maya lied"
"Sarah he lied."
Now Alex said,"so Asli you are done with your revenge,you stay with your believe. I am done with you. I will never marry you." And he threw away the engagement ring.
"Sarah you are responsible for this. You intentionally broke our marriage. You are a witch, get lost you bitch." Asli screamed while tears streamed down her cheeks.
"Shut up Asli, you get lost" yelled Alex
"Never come back to my flat again Sarah. Get out. I can't care for you provide your food, school fees now."
"You don't pay my school fees, father pays that online sister. And fine I will not stay with you. I will go and take my things and dresses with me and live with Becca. Anyways a few months are left till graduation. After that I will go to India."
"Go to hell, I wish your bloody death" and she left. I was utterly shocked, hurt and broken seeing her actual personality. This is my elder sister? Whom I respect and love so much? Whom I trust more than myself?' I sighed audibly
Alex said,"Sarah, where will you live?
"I told Asli I will stay with Becca. She lives in a 2room apartment with her younger brother and parents. There is no space for me to stay. I mean if I tell her she will manage but it will be very uncomfortable for her. Maybe I can find a part-time job at a cafe and rent a one room apartment or something."
Alex said,"Sarah what will you do now? I mean I have three rooms as you know. 2downstairs and 1upstairs. So you can stay here. Either you can stay in the room beside mine in this floor. Or you can take the room in 2nd floor all by yourself. I mean if you want, I have absolutely no problem. You don't have to work anywhere focus on your studies. You don't have to worry about food or anything I will provide you everything.  Never hesitate to ask for anything. "
"OK I will stay here, thanks a lot Alex."
"Well then let's go and get your things."
We went to the flat and took my things with me and came back. Asli was not there at that time.
"Alex, are you sure to break this wedding. I am worried if Asli does anything reckless you know."
"Don't worry she is fine and will be."
"So its late enough let's have dinner."
"I don't want to eat tonight please leave me. You eat something. I can prepare something for you Alex"
"Sarah, its has been a really stressful day for you please have something."
We had boiled pasta for dinner. I took the room beside him downstairs. I lied down on the bed but couldn't sleep. I cried the whole night. I felt like I was entirely responsible for everything. Somehow the night passed and it was morning.
I went to the washroom to freshen up. Then I went to the sitting room and found Alex making coffee.
"Good morning Alex"
"Oh you awake! Good morning" he turned round"would you like.... Sarah! What is this? Have you been crying?"
"No why would I cry? "
"Your eyes show it. They are red and puffy. Sarah why? Don't be sad. Everything will be fine." He enveloped me in an embrace. "So I was asking, would you like to have some coffee?"
"Sure". He handed me a cup of coffee and took one for himself.
" Sarah so I was thinking if we could go somewhere after seeing Jason in hospital. "
"I have school today, I will meet Mr wills before going to school."
"Oh yes, you have school. I thought that perhaps your Christmas holidays has begun."
"Yes it will commence from next week."
"OK, we will go after your vacation commences."
"Let's go to see Jason."
We set out towards the hospital. There was still 2hrs time before school started. We reached the hospital.
"Alex, you go first. I will go after you finish talking."
"Sarah why? Come on."
"Please. I have caused enough harm to him."
"You have not. OK you wait outside. I will tell Jason the entire thing so that he doesn't misunderstands you."
He went inside and I waited. After 20 mins he came out.
"Everything is fine. I told him everything, you go and talk to him."
I went inside and saw Jason lying on bed. He smiled at me and said,"Sarah come here, Alex told me everything. I don't misunderstand you in the least. I should have waited for a few days. Above all I shouldn't have rejected you like that. I regretted the moment you left my house. I thought of speaking to you next day but..."
"I am glad you are fine, I was so worried." I don't know when I started crying, "hey there don't cry, and thanks a lot for you know for my job, Alex told me"
"It was my fault so I had to fix it."
"No its not, leave it. So Alex told me your situation, you can stay with me also. Alex is a great guy but if you feel more comfortable with me you can always stay with me. After all you are my girlfriend."
"No Mr wills, you rejected me because you felt I am getting distracted from my studies. At first I will prove you were wrong, then if you still want we can be  in a relationship. I will prove by the result of graduation test. If you can wait till then fine."
"Yes I will wait for you always. I won't repeat the same mistake."
"And if you?"
"Then I give you 100%right to punish me Sarah."
"I am getting late for school, I must go. Get well soon."
I headed towards school. I caught a bus because Alex was with Jason. He offered to drop me but I denied.
