1-27-2024: i'll rewrite this one soon, cringe warning
it's short but it's just for this one ;)
══════
He had known (y/n) for a long time. Or maybe not exactly known. He just watched her during class- playing with a pencil between her fingers. When the bells struck thrice, the entire class had simply disappeared. (y/n) didn't leave , arms crossed on the table like she fell asleep.
And Delta on the other side, sitting at the corner of the classroom-
He wasn't ready. He couldn't, he felt too shy.
But he was tough, wasn't he? He can simply face a small rejection, right?
He had liked her. Then loved her. Then decided to become friends as a final decision.
What Delta doesn't know-
(y/n) was crying. Crying with no awareness that anyone was in the room as well. Her goals seemed so far out of reach. She just wants a life of her own, without it being controlled by someone else.
And then there was love in the way. How love was messy, and hard to understand, how love was not a priority and her parents needed her success in education over relationships.
A relationship in specific means, was with Delta. Somehow, (y/n) longed for a relationship. If her mother would ever let her, she would be as good as dead.
Is it so impossible?
Consider it mission impossible, then.
'If it is so impossible, why do they always succeed?' At the moment, (y/n) wished that it was true.
She stands up at last, head bowed down, and walks toward the door without making a single sound. Better to let go instead.
"H-hey, (y/n)."
(y/n) Turns around, startled, and immediately wiped her tears away. There was someone here? She had to expect that. She could never be seen alone.
"D-don't look at me," with words coming out as broken as herself. "Wh-why are you h-here?"
Delta noticed her wet lashes and tear-streaked face, finally understanding what happened earlier. How could he have not been aware?
"You were crying," He whispered softly.
"So?"
"You're okay, right?"
"So what if I'm not..." her voice suddenly hushed. (y/n) wasn't much of a certain someone who could be so open. If she told Delta, he could do nothing but show sympathy. And she didn't want sympathy right now.
"I just want to help you, is all," He shrugs.
(y/n) gives out a weary smile. "You're not one to care for people much."
"Whatever," Delta looks to one side. "As long as you'll be fine afterwards."
"Big tsundere," she scoffed playfully.
And she had to admit, it made her feel better in a way.
