"We're here," Raul announces as I step out the van. "Where's Free?"

From a distance away, a faint voice yells. My head quickly turns toward the source of sound, peering down the cliff to see Free lifting a big boulder.

"What?!" I mutter, capturing Free's attention. He looks up at me, but I slip away in time. Concerned much I was, I left anyway. Typical Free. Always training the hell out of himself. Well, who can blame him?

It's not like I ever did so.

Later that day

It's like the entire spain is looking for me. But who I'm looking for, is Free. I thought I had saw him earlier, even when my head is spinning from today's busy events.

He needed me during the nights, telling me enough without sparking my curiosity.

"Why?" I had asked him.

He had shrugged, hesitating if I would refuse.  "Would you?"

At that I feel heat generating around my being. He...he only wants to be with me, and nothing else....right?

I clear my  thoughts,-A rough voice groans behind me, telling me it's Silas.

At first the gleaming edge of his purple glasses found me-But I tilt my head to the side, much like Free's. I put a finger to my lips as a sign to be silent, and I smile.

Silas blushes, taken aback, and leaves. I don't need to attend whatever's next, and I don't care, whatever it is, since I was called.

I start running, thought not running away-to where Free might be. Taking a cautious look, he still trained with a....rock. Out of breath, Free sits down to take a few gasps of air.

He actually looked kind of cute like that.

"You can come out,(y/n)."

From behind him I kneel and hug him, face resting on his shoulder that didn't seem sweaty at all.

"Don't hurt yourself," I whisper, as a warning. I'm not that worried, just at least I have done my part. He stands up, taking half the rope. My eyes widened at the sight. Again?

"You worry too much. Want to do this with me?"

My body doesn't move, reluctant to the fact that he's overdoing it. I came here to take him away subconsciously, slowly making him go away from what could hurt him.

"I'll be gentle on myself this time," he adds.

"If you say so." Then I tie the sleeves of my light jacket around my waist. When he wasn't looking, I shake me head. I wasn't doing what I needed to do. But it was Free.

After a while of tugging and faint laughs, we both needed to stop. Dry throats screamed for water.

"That," I breathe out, "Is so heavy."

Free playfully sprays water in my face. "Better?"

In retaliation, I take the second water bottle and drenched his hair.

"Deserved it," He admits.

"So don't."

Back in the forest, the sweet deer comes out to greet us, burying its nose in the grass. Just another normal day in Spain. But because today is just a little bit more special, I want to spend it with Free.

"How about a bey battle?" He asks.

"I don't know. It's so late..."

He smiles. Why did he have to smile? It always made me feel horrible, though not in a bad way. He seemed to take notice and tilted his head for my reaction.

"(y/n)...!" He softly stretched my name into a slightly high-pitched call. "Bey battle...."

"S-stop it, Free." I look away.

"It's fun."

"No it isn't."

"Come on."

I roughly groan, which has not made any difference. Free was used to having his own way, especially with me. Like this spell he cast over me a few years ago, even though I knew I fell for him first.

He didn't respond to me much. Until we had become rivals on a battle stage, and Fafnir.... Fafnir did something to me much like a core memory in my heart. Something much more important.

Very important. And so special.

"Ok, Just one battle. Even when it's tied," I concede.

"You said 'when.' Does that mean you will tie with me?"

Now it was my turn to smile. A little bit more sheepishly though. As I stand in my launch position, Free used a launcher. He thinks I'm good enough to battle him launching instead of by hand.

Except...I wasn't that good.

"LET IT RIP!" We both said in unison.

Alyria is a balance bey inspired by Shu. I've decided to go attack, and at the moment when I almost yelled 'Spiral Rush' My vision glitched.

I stop dead in my movements. It hasn't happened before. What did Fafnir want?

As soon as my vision returned to normal I had been bursted. If that had been Fafnir, then that was totally rigged.

Free...He doesn't know. But he sensed that something was wrong.

"Only one battle, remember?" I mutter. Unusual for someone to say when they've just lost.

My head became dizzy, probably from the migraine kicking in. Free held onto me, so I wouldn't fall, almost backing away when I just got startled.

"Hey. Are you okay?"

"Maybe I'm just tired," I respond.

He nods, and we slowly sit down, wanting to discuss what happened earlier.

"Was it Fafnir?" He asks, hinting at certain sparks in my eyes. I have told him that Fafnir spoke to me once, and that was it. Fafnir was Free's own bey. How could he not know?

Maybe I'll tell him sometime later, everything I saw last year, and what tries to lure me into a deep secret-all of that later. I lie down on the grass, desiring rest while he pulls me in, hearing his heartbeat when my eyes flutter to a close.
