As the time starts to pass by, and it was now midnight and the white sparkly dotted stars were out of its waking, both Wendy and Killua were panting heavily as the same old sweat started to trickle down their cheeks to their bodies, their was bruised from their skin to all the way down their clothing. However, the two were slowly walking, but were limping from all of the bruises, as the two used tall head-width wooden sticks to stand on as the two could barely stand thanks to the beat down, but the two started to make their way to the hotel by following the trail into the forest.
However, in the shadows, there is a man targeting Wendy and Killua, and his name is Shoot McMahon. He is also one of Morel's pupils.
As the two kept on walking through the trailed forest, Killua broke the silence as he says to his blue-haired childhood friend, "No use. The way we are now, we don't stand a chance."
Wendy nodded in response as she replied back, "Yeah, I'm pretty sure... Knuckle isn't using all his strength, maybe half."
As Wendy had replied back to Killua's before statement and she made her statement, Killua had agreed with Wendy as he also nodded in response and he took in a short deep breath, as he shortly answered to Wendy by saying, "Yeah, probably."
"But we don't have a choice. We got to fight him." Added Wendy as Killua nodded once again, as he had also added with a short answer, "Yeah."
However, as the two were making their way to the end of the trail and getting closer to the hotel, the man named Shoot had only stood their in the shadows and was doing nothing, but he had planned to attack the two children, however, that plan had soon failed as he then, out of nowhere started crying.
Shoot McMahon... is very... faint of heart...
The next day...
As morning had soon arrived through the town, both Wendy and Killua had woke up and the two had started their daily three hour Ren training and begun to hold their Ren for that many hours.
While breaking and starting a conversation to help the time pass by, Wendy looked directly at Killua and asks him, Hey, Killua, why wasn't Mr. Knuckle good enough?"
As soon as Wendy had asked her question, Killua was slightly confused about what Wendy had asked about "good enough", so in doing so, Killua had turned to Wendy as he then asks her, "Wait. For what?"
"To get inside the NGL." She said. "I mean, he's really strong. I just don't get it."
As Killua listened to Wendy's, now understood question, he then completely understood what Wendy meant as he then agrees with her and says, "I guess... you're right."
"It just doesn't make any sense. Physically he seems like he'd be right on par with Mystogan." Explained Wendy as she saw Killua nod in response and she heard him reply to her by saying, "Yeah, but his personality...
As Killua trailed off from his sentence, Wendy was slightly confused as she asked Killua, "Why does that matter anyway?"
As Wendy had asked her question to Killua, Killua put both of his pale white hands on his hips, while channeling his Ren at the same time, and he answers to Wendy's question by saying, "His philosophy... isn't in line with the mission's objective. He's fragile, and he gets attached to animals way too easily."
Wendy awkwardly smiles as she replied back by saying with an agreeable statement, "You do have a point, and he did end up helping us with our training, didn't he?"
As Wendy had made another statement and she asked another question, both Wendy and Killua started to think back to yesterday, as they both saw more dogs than usual, and Killua spoke up as he says, "The number of dogs around him keeps increasing."
