Minha sobbed. Her pillow turned wet. After an hour, she had no tears left to cry. It was all just her emotions that was left in her. She had anger, frustration, and sadness. It would be a lie if she said she didn't like Hyunjin. After all, she changed for him. The fear of his dead coming back scared her. Minha wiped the remaining tears on her face a wore a casual outfit.
The sounds of children's laughter made her smile. Minha walked in a hugged all the children, "Did you guys miss me?" She chuckled and looked up. Her smile faded away once she saw a familiar face. She looked back at the kids and smiled. "One moment." Minha looked back up at the person.
"It's been a week," the voice paused, "how are you?" Minha sighed and nodded.
"I've been good. Have you? You had problems with eating whenever you were stressed." Minha looked up at the man. A smile grew on his face.
"You remembered I can't eat well when I'm stressed? Wah Minha I thought you never cared about me." The person stated with a smile.
"How can I forget that part about you Hwang Hyunjin? I spent days to help you." A chuckle escaped Minha's lip. She got along well with Hyunjin and it was a surprise. She constantly fought with Hyunjin ever since high school but she's suddenly had a change of heart.
Minha stopped her steps, looked up to him, and smiled, "I want to end it."
"Huh? End what?"
"I want to end what we have between us. I want to become a better person if that means I have to shut people that loved me out. I want to see you smile as much as you want to see me smile." Minha looked back to their path and continued walking.
"I thought you hated me." Hyunjin weakly smiled. "What's with the change of mind?"
"I realized that I'm not going to be able to get what I want in my life. Whether it would be an object, a role, or even someone I love. Sometimes it's best for me to let go and move on." Minha looked at him, "You should do the same."
"Minha, we already talked about this. We love each other and you know that too!" Hyunjin complained and held her hand.
"If I loved you I would be willing to lose you if I have to. I think that it's time for me to lose you." She lifted his hand and used her other hand to release his grip from her hand. "I want to be able to love you, but sometimes I have a fear. I have a fear that your father will ruin me again."
"He won't! He got caught and he's suffering in his imprisonmen-"
Minha smiled, "I'm also afraid of hurting you."
Hyunjin sighed and placed his hand on her cheek, "Promise me you won't hurt yourself.." Minha nodded and smiled.
A tear dropped from both their eyes and their lips touched. The sun set and the kiss was painful. Minha wrapped her arms around his neck and their kiss deepened. If anybody saw them, they would think they were going to do something afterwards. (not for you to even know but-) Instead, their lips had a salty but sweet flavor because, well, they both knew it was the last. The sun set and they both let go. With that, Hyunjin looked at her one last time and left.
She mumbled under her breath, "Stay with me.... please?"
