Prologue| I miss you...

...I miss you...

You woke up in a hospital bed with bright lights shining down on you.

You winced as the lights hit your, slowly opening, (e/c) eyes. You had no idea how you got to the hospital nor what happened to put you there.

'What happened to me? I can't remember anything'

You tried as hard as you could to remember what happened to you, but were quickly snapped out of your thoughts as your father entered the room.

He nearly dropped his coffee when he saw that you were awake.

"(Y/n)! Sweetheart you're finally awake!" He yelled as he ran to you and almost crushed you with one of his famous, bone breaking, hugs.

After a few minutes of barely being able to breathe, you pat your dad on the back to signal him to let go. When he pulled away and looked at your beautiful, finally open, eyes, tears began to cloud his own. He didn't try to hold them back and instead, just let them fall onto the bed.

"Dad? Is everything okay?" You said with a soft voice.

He looked up at you for a moment, wiped his tears away, preparing himself to answer your question.

"Sweetheart, tell me, what is the last thing you remember?"

You were shocked as he usually never dodged your questions. He has always been straight up and told you how it was.

You took a second to think really hard about your last memories.

"I remember Mom was driving me somewhere; It was meant to be an early birthday surprise, and then everything went dark. Hey speaking of, where is mom?"

As you saw the sorrow cross over your father's face, you could guess what he was gonna say.

"(Y/n), you and mom got into a really bad car crash. The man driving the other car was impaired and drifted into your lane. When the paramedics arrived, your mom's car was flipped over and you were rendered unconscious. They brought you here and you've been in a coma for 3 days now." Tears found there way into your fathers eyes again.

As he kept explaining, you slowly started gaining your memories back.

You remembered you and your mom laughing and joking around, you were gonna be 16 the next day, so she wanted to make this birthday extra special for you. She didn't tell you where you were going but you didn't really care. As long as it was with her you'd be happy with anywhere. You were always especially close to your mom, you were basically a mini her. You had her big (e/c) eyes, her (h/l) (h/c) hair, and her beautiful pearly white smile.

But wait, something didn't make sense.., your father said that you were unconscious and then brought to the hospital, but what about your mom?

"Dad, what happened to mom? Is she okay? Is she here? Can I see her?"

The room went silent. You swore you could hear your blood pumping through your veins.

'...why isn't he answering...say something dad.....tell me mom is ok...'

You were getting impatient and anxious with his refusing to answer, so you asked him a second time, only to get a quick answer now.

"She didn't make it."

You were in disbelief, but before you could ask more questions, the doctor entered the room, happy to see you awake.

The doctor explained what had happened to your body during the crash and to say the least, it wasn't good. You had a very painful whiplash and stiff neck, a broken nose causing two black eyes, 3 cracked ribs, a ruptured kidney, your left arm was broken, along with your right leg. You didn't care about any of your injuries, you got straight to the point and asked the doctor the question you were dying to know.
