"Haechan," I said sternly, looking him in the eye. We were sitting across from one another on the leather, cresent moon shaped couch.

He hummed in response, glued to his phone as if two other people weren't in the room.

"Can you leave?" I huffed. Despite our circumstances, I had no intention of letting go of my grudge.

He slowly set down his phone and looked at me as if I had gone mad, tilting his head with a face of confusion and disbelief.

"Why should I?" he retorted, making himself comfortable. "There's a killer on the loose, and you expect me to walk around as if I'm bait?"

"Oh, please. Even a starved wolf wouldn't want you," my eyebrows furrowed.

The silent being inbetween us worked up a cough, "I didn't know my house meant couples therapy."

No words were needed, as the looks given by both Haechan and I were enough to silence him.

"Uh-" began Renjun before clearing his throat. "Remind me why you two hate eachother all of a sudden?"

"We have other matters to address," I reminded him, finally allowing reality to sink in once more.

The room went silent.

After wiping away tears before they could form, I found the courage within myself to continue the conversation. "I'm scared."

"What if they're after me next?" I went on, tapping one of my feet on the wooden strips of flooring.

"You'll be fine as long as you're with someone," assured Renjun. He didn't look so sure himself.

"It's one of us, I'm sure of it! I can't trust any of you," I whaled, standing abruptly from my seat.

As much as I wanted to storm out of the house, I had enough willpower to keep me from it. I could be dead the second I set foot into the open.

"Out of everyone in this neighborhood, who do you think would kill someone?" asked Haechan, no longer sidetracked by his phone.

"I don't even know half of the people who live here," I sighed, seating myself once more.

"I have an idea on how we could narrow it down, though."
