"You doing okay there?" arose a calm voice from amongst the shouting. I turned my head to see Taeil, an older kid to the culdesac. I must've missed his entry.

I shook my head, redirecting my attention back to the night sky. The moon was fuller than usual, and shown brightly with the lack of clouds.

I could now hear the usual bickering between the boys and girls of our culdesac, debating on who would do what and how for whichever scenario they worked up.

"I can't imagine how you feel right now." His words took their time as he processed the approach he should take.

I didn't even know how I felt. Sadness, fear, anger. I was trying my best to balance it all, maybe put it behind me. "Me neither."

"Your mom was an amazing person, her death is unfortunate," Taeil went on, stepping over me in order to open the window. The second he did, a frosty gust of wind made its way into the room and caused everyone to shut up and turn heads.

"When did you get here?" asked Renjun, who was wrestling Mark just seconds ago.

Taeil blinked a few times, "I've been here-"

"Yeah, I saw him on my way in," confirmed Mark, taking the break to his advantage and escaping the room, Renjun on his tail. A few of the others followed suit, placing bets while chanting names.

Sunghee, as the nice person she is, took the now open seat beside me and offered a hug. Taeil remained where he was.

"We'll figure it out soon. Everything's okay," she hushed, taking note of my anxious state.

"You have us all by your side, and on full alert. Nothing will happen," she went on.

I was about to bring up the same point I did to Haechan and Renjun, but figured there was no point on arguing. I already told everyone at the start of the meeting.

The extra presence in the room then left in search of the others.
