The two friends made their way back to the living room, beaming.

"We should play games now!" Misty exclaimed, her eyes lightening with visible excitement. "And I'm not asking!" She added, giggling.

"Really? Bloody Mary?" Lauren rolled hey eyes, amused.

"Ah yes, remember how I said I wasn't asking?" Misty smirked, handing her friend a lit candle.

"Ugh.." Lauren snatched it up, turning with a frown towards the bathroom mirror.

"Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary.." Lauren muttered. "See, nothing is happening-"

Michael compelled a shrill scream, thrusting a hand at the mirror, eyes wide.

"Wh-what?!" Lauren fretted, fear beginning to prick her spine.

"Oh, nothing. I just see Alan." He smirked, while the two girls chuckled along two. Alan rolled his eyes in reply, teeth gritted.

"Whatever."

Misty settled herself on the ground, her eyes fluttering shut. Lauren, Michael and Alan circled around her, placing their hands beneath her body.

"Light as a feather, stiff as a board-" They chanted.

Misty swatted them away, hauling herself up. "Ugh, guys, this is our ninth time trying." She moaned. "It isn't working."

"Well, let's play a different game then.." Alan commented, shrugging.

Michael lay his head on Lauren's lap, frowning. "Really? Red door, Yellow door?" He called out, frowning.

"Shush, and let me do the magic." Lauren smirked, placing her hand above his eyes. She blushed at the gentle touch he provided, though she pushed away the feeling with a cough.

"Alright. Put your hand down when you see a door." She instructed.

Lauren slid her hands on his neck, soothingly rubbing his skin. "Red door, yellow door, or any other color door-"

"What the heck? Why're you rubbing my neck?" Michael sputtered, sitting up, his face growing red.

Lauren's own face grew red, as she scrunched up her nose with annoyance. "OK, first- you make that sound so wrong!" She groaned. "Second.. that's how you play the fucking game."

"You mean ritual?" Misty corrected.

"Yeah!" Lauren nodded.

"Now, lay down." She hissed, shoving his head onto her lap. He grumbled in reply, though obeyed, as his eyes flicked shut.

"Red door, yellow door, or any other door.." She paused, continuing to rub his neck. "What color do you see?"

"Uhh.. pink?" Michael replied, growing clueless.

"Do you feel say about it?"

"Why, I do indeed!" He snickered.

"Ugh.. go in what do you see?" Lauren scoffed.

"I see rainbows, puppies-"

He's not taking this seriously.. Lauren silently remarked, though grew affectionate towards his response.

"Do you feel safe about it?"

"Yes I do." He nodded.

"Check your pockets." Lauren ordered.

"Okay, this is stupid!" Michael squirmed away. "These games aren't even scary."

"Well.. what do you do? Ghosts aren't real-" Alan stated, attempting to speak some sense into the three.

"Uh, EXCUSE me?!" Misty hissed, baffled. Alan bit his lip in reply, growing silent.

"Ghost are VERY much real." Lauren nodded.

"I will find a scary game for us!" Misty announced, frowning. "AND put our mission backpacks to good use."

Misty shoved him aside, exiting the room, determination darkening her gaze.

"Sh-she's scary." Alan sputtered.

"Well you know what they say.. if she doesn't scare the shit out of you, she's not the one~" Michael smirked, while Lauren giggled along tune.

Alan grew red, frowning. "Yeah, nobody says that." He protested. "AND, we just met a few days ago."

The three patiently waited for Misty, settling themselves onto a rug along the floor. Alan stood hovering behind Michael, frowning. "I just realized that Michael is the only adult here.." He randomly commented.

Lauren snickered with thought, as Misty arrived, carrying a bag and her device.

"Guys! I found a game we can play." She squealed.

"Tell us about it." Lauren smiled, crossing her legs.

"It's called.." Misty held her phone to her face, her eyes slimming to slits. "'Closet to another world'. It's where you can enter another dimension through your closet." She explained. "And this world is a total mystery!" She added.

"Oh, I've prepared all the supplies too." Misty grinned, holding up the bag.

The three rose to their feet nodding.

"Sure!"

"I'm in."

"Come! I'll teach y'all the rules." Misty squealed, dashing out the room, leaving the three scrambling behind.
