"Oh my gosh.." Alan sniffled. "How will we get out?!"

"Curses and stuff is more of Lauren's thing.." Misty muttered, directing the boy's gazes to her friend, who nodded. "So, Lauren?"

"Well, from what I know about trapped in a world- which only could've been caused because we spooked the spirits, and the only way to get out is to.. tricking the ghosts into letting us out." She mumbled. "And you know the only way to trick ghost..-"

"Is to play more paranormal games!" Misty gasped, growing fearful.

"So MORE super scary games?" Michael moaned.

"As many as it takes to trick the ghosts." Lauren softly nodded. "And we must complete them successfully." She added.

"Well, what games should we play?" Alan questioned, eager to return to Michael's NORMAL home, at a NORMAL sleepover.

"We should probably do the riskiest ones." Misty suggested, sighing. "The more reckless it is- the more it'll confuse the spirits."

"Wait- so this nightmare house is haunted?!" Michael's mouth gaped open.

"Yes, and they plan to keep us here for eternity." Lauren commented, shuffling her feet uneasily.

"This is going to be a long night." Michael muttered, rubbing his eyes.

The four silently made their way downstairs, huddling into Michael's dull living room.

"So, what game shall we play first?.." Lauren asked, shuffling closer to Misty.

"Well.. I was thinking 'the Midnight game'." Misty announced, gazing at her phone with bagged eyes.

"Oh, I've heard of that!" Alan nodded.

"I think I've watched the movie.." Michael tagged along in.

"It's an old pagan ritual used for punishment." Misty read. She paused, whimpering. "And th-there's a very high chance of death." She breathed.

"Well then, I guess we should try not to die." Alan frowned. "What're the rules?"

"So, it must be exactly twelve o'clock, but it's eleven fifty-three right now." She sniffed. "Basically we should try to avoid the midnight man."
