Another Sad Story.

Once Love, Now Broken

I look down and the darkness that, was once so terrifying, now looks inviting. It calls my name like a midnight lover. Beckoning me to join it on its path of sin and destruction. And for a second, a split second, the idea doesn't seem so bad. The idea of inflicting the pain I feel (everyday) on those who don't understand. Who will never understand! But your face flashes behind my eyelids and the sharp pain, that was temporarily dulled, again shoots through my already cracking heart sending another crooked line zig zagging through the thin exterior it has left. I stumble backwards. Away from the darkness. Away from my chance to make everyone feel what I feel. For some pains hurt at such an intensity, that you couldn't even fathom ever inflicting it on even the worst of humanity. Yet, you so easily inflicted it on someone who you once claimed to have loved. On me.
