I sat impatiently, tapping my fingers against each other. Where could they be, I called an hour ago.

Suddenly I heard the squeaking of breaks outside, finally. "About time." I yelled standing and walking over to the window.  Scout was the first one too jump out of the truck bed. "Why the rush? Not like he's gotta get back to anyone." He said draping his arm over my shoulder, leading me over to the body.

His body had paled, becoming cold and lifeless. It use to sicken me, but now I've grown use to it and in a way that scared me but in another it exhilarated me to know what I'm capable of.

"Damn Ash, what happened here." Scout asked as he examined the body before slinging him over his shoulder. "He was a wife beater and a molester. He deserves every bit of it." I said quickly before walking out to the car.

I never was one for the mingling afterwards. It made me feel like he was still alive, watching me, waiting to come back to life. I hoped in the back, damnit. I always get suckered into the back.

"Y'all I get I'm tiny but this is insane. Johnnys got the legs of an elephant. Oh my lord get your feet out of my space bubble!" Johnny let out a deep bellowing laugh and pushed his feet over mind.

"Ow! John your elbowing me. Jordan! Johnny won't stop elbowing me!" I heard jordan sign "kids knock it off or I will ground you both." He said looking at us threw the review mirror. I look at Johnny and we bust out laughing.

"If I crash with a dead body in the car because of you I'm putting all the blame on y'all and saying I'm just a hostage." Seth proclaimed from the drivers seat as he began to turn down on an asphalt road. "So, did you guys meet with them?" "Yep. Katie's a sweet girl.. she'll be better off. We did the right thing." Johnny said, sounding more like he's trying to convince himself.

"Awe sweetie.. of course she is." I said putting my head on his shoulder. "They said they wanted us to take care of it. They'll file a missing persons report but they don't think it will go anywhere. Apparently a lot of people knew about Mr. Baretly's affairs. She said she could play it off as he ran away with some mistress and to take the body as far away from them as possible. We're in the clear."

My body felt at ease. Known that that little girl and her mother never have to have a hand laid on them again and they get a fresh start. "Oh, I almost forgot. Ash" I opened my eyes and looks over at Jordan "the girl, she asked me to give this to you." It was a letter. It's not uncommon for me to get things from my families.

"Awe, I miss getting letters." Seth said lightly, sticking his hand out the window. "Don't worry little bro, you'll have a family soon." I said reaching over and planting a kiss on his cheek. He laughed and looked back at me when we stoped at a light. "You do remember I'm older then you right?"

"Ah details details, now if you'll excuse me. I've got a letter to read."

Dear whoever you are,
I know it's wrong what I asked, what I agreed for you to do. So why don't I regret it..? When I told my mom I expected her to yell and scream at me but she didn't. She asked if I was dreaming. But when we couldn't find him and he wouldn't answer his calls, then your brother and his friends showed up. She was happy, I've never seen her smile like that. We both might go to hell for the actions we committed but I wouldn't do a thing different. Now it's as if he disappeared, but like he's still here. I go to sleep at night knowing I can sleep safely now, but it's hard. I know it will get better with time. Did he feel any pain? I hope he didn't.. me and my mom will cover for you guys, don't worry. Your secret is safe with us, come back sometime. Maybe when I'm older and have a better grasp on this. When I'm done mourning. I will pray for god to forgive me as I hope you do. And I will never admit again to what I'm about to tell you, but thank you.

Joplin, Missouri
Joplin police station

"Hello I'm agent Hotchner, this is agent Morgan, Gideon, Greenaway, and Dr. Reid. How do you do?" Hotch said offering his hand out for a firm handshake. "Good, nice having you here. I'm officer Rock, if you have any questions about anything I'm your guy. We have a room back here for y'all to set up."

"Okay, Morgan. I want you and Elle to go talk to the family, you can get the address from the front. Reid I want you and Garcia to look over the cases that might be connected. I've got a feeling there are more victims out there that we don't know about. Me and Gideon will work on the unsubs themselves. We need to find out as much as we can about them."

The car ride was silent for Morgan and Elle on their way to interview the grieving family until they finally pulled up to middle class house in the middle of a suburban neighborhood.

They knocked on the door and waited patiently for an answer. "Hello ma'am, I'm SSA Derek Morgan and this is my collage Elle Greenaway. I was wondering if we could come in and ask you a few questions about your husband." Derek said in a gentle tone, as if talking to Garcia when she gets rattled by a case.

The women looked shocked but also at peace, she looked calm. Strangely calm for someone who's husband just went missing. "Oh of course, please come in!" She said smiling widely and stepping out of the way to let the agents in. "Katie! Come in here for a minute please." She yelled time her child while gesturing to the couch offering a place for them to sit.

"Where are my manners, would y'all like anything to drink? Water, coffee, tea?" Katie stalked into the room keeping her arms crossed close to her chest, staring at the agents. Elle looked over at the little girl. They kept eye contact as they studied each other.

"Some coffee would be great ma'am," Morgan said as he took off his sunglasses setting them down on the coffee table. As she brought in two steaming cups of hot coffee, "so, you want to ask us some questions about Louis." Mrs. Baretly said and she pulled Katie over next to her, across from the FBI agents.

"Yes ma'am, we understand that you reported him missing 46 hours ago. When did you realize he had gone missing?" Elle said gently holding the mug up to her lips and taking a tiny sip. She would have to remember to rub it in Spencer's face of how good this coffee is.

"When I woke up that morning him and his car where gone but, I didn't think much of it. It's not uncommon for Louis to run off for a day or two. But that evening I felt something was off. So then I decided to call it in." Derek nodded keeping direct eye contact with Mrs. Baretly, look for any tells of lying.

"Why did your husband often leave without telling anyone?" Mrs. Baretly signed, "katie, why don't you go outside. Check on porkie." The young girl looked up and her mom and nodded, trampling off to the back yard to find her little French bulldog.

"It wasn't news, it was the talk of the town at some point. Who was the new mistress my husband had hidden away. I didn't even bat an eye when he didn't come done for breakfast that day." Silents filled the room, both the agents looked at each other in pity for the most likely widow.
