𝐒𝐇𝐄 𝐀𝐕𝐎𝐈𝐃𝐄𝐃 the curious looks from the few students who arrived early at the high school. Her aunt squeezed her hand as they made their way to the office. Upon entering the room, two women at the front desk gave her a comforting smile. "Eleanor, welcome back!" The lady greeted her aunt and Cecelia hid shyly behind the older woman. The lady let her eyes trail to the girl with a kind smile, "and is this the famous Cecelia Greene! Look at you, you're all grown up!"
The girl cannot help but giggle at the woman. The lady motioned her over with a smile, "come, I have your schedule here." She handed the girl a printed paper of her timetable. "Just wait for a few moments, I have a student who offered to give you a tour, you both have similar schedules so she will be able to help you throughout the day," the lady pointed at the few chairs.
Cecelia looked up at her aunt with a smile, "I'll be okay."
Eleanor grinned at the girl, and fixed her hair. She leaned forward to place a quick kiss on the top of Cecelia's head, "call me if you need anything. I already gave the nurses all your medical information and medicine." Cecelia nodded, "go... you're going to be late for your interview." Eleanor laughed, "as if they could deny me."
Cecelia smiled at her aunt's confidence and proceeded to push her out the room. "I know you're only stalling cause you're worried about me," Cecelia sung. Eleanor huffed as she turned to the girl with a smirk. "I'm not kidding though, if you need anything, even the smallest thing, call me," Eleanor said sternly, Cecelia smiled up at her and pulled her in a hug.
"Thank you... for everything."
Eleanor stumbled back a bit but eventually circled her arms around the girl, "of course, I love you." Cecelia hummed, "I love you too."
Eleanor finally waved her goodbye as she walked away. Cecelia waved back, before returning inside the office to wait for her tour guide. As if on cue, a brunette with incredibly straight teeth and a bright smile bursted in with a worried look. "Am a late? Is she here?" She fired, and the lady at the front desk giggled. Cecelia stifled a laugh as she stands and tapped the girl's shoulder. "Hi, I'm Cecelia Greene," she introduced herself, as she stretched out her hand. The girl smiled widely and took the girl's hand to pull her into a hug. "I'm Kimberly Moore, but you can just call me Kim," exclaimed excitedly.
Cecelia Greene shifted uncomfortably as she attempted to adjust to the other girl's grip on her weakened limbs. She tried to hug her back as best as she can. "Oh sorry, I almost forgot..." Kim realized her mistake as she pulled back, Cecelia's eyes widened and Kim shook her head. "Don't worry, no one else knows and I won't tell them. My mom's the school nurse, and your aunt asked me to watch over you," Cecelia sighs, but smiled appreciatively at Kim. "You didn't have to," Cecelia mumbled. Kim smiled, "I'm not doing it because I think you need me around. I'm doing it because I want to be your friend."
Cecelia's grin grew as she looked at the girl, "friends."

Kim had managed to tour Cecelia around the relatively small school, before period one started. The two now lounge near their lockers as Kim helped Cecelia organize her newly checked out textbooks. More students are already filtering through the halls, and Cecelia tried her best to not attract any unwanted attention. Hollers boomed against the simple walls of the school, as a group of oddly fit boys began to trickle in the halls.
Cecelia glanced up from her locker, and raised a brow. She turned to Kim for any answers, but the girl was staring in awe at one of the boys. "Boyfriend?" Cecelia asked teasingly as she returned to jamming her stuff in her locked. Kim blushed and playfully hit her arm, "shush!"
As if on cue, a voice called out to the girl, "Kim!"
Both girls turned to the voice, and a boy with matching cropped hair and denim shorts came running out. "Jared," Kim sighed and the two immediately jump into the other's arms leaving Cecelia to cast her stare away for privacy. She didn't mean to overhear their conversation, but being right next to them meant she had to listen in. The way they talked to each other was as if their time apart was extremely suffocating and they needed to soak in every moment they shared with each other. As if they were starved of each other's attention. Cecelia frowned, she did not have enough time to experience that, but a part of her always wanted to.
"Jared, this is Cecelia Greene, she moved back from Houston," Kim motioned towards her and Cecelia took this as her cue to turn around. "Nice to meet you," she greeted him politely, and Jared smiled. "Jared Cameron, Kim's boyfriend," he turned to place a loving kiss on Kim's forehead, who giggled in response. Cecelia chuckles with a nod, "I think you've both made that loud and clear."
The bell rings, and Cecelia turned to lock up her locker and hoist her bag on her shoulder. She waited for Kim and Jared to bid their goodbyes, before allowing Kim to lead the way to their homeroom classroom.
Prior to the bell, the rest of the pack watched the interaction, particularly the three best-friends. "Why does she seem familiar?" Embry mutters as he stared at the side of her face. "Right, I feel like we're supposed to know who she is," Jake agreed. The two shared a look before looking to Quil for answers. Quil stayed silent, as he felt an odd pull towards her, his eyes begged her to at least spare him a glance.
"What the hell are you all staring at?" Paul huffed, meeting their gaze. Seth followed their stare as well, "oh, Cecelia Greene? You haven't heard, Eleanor and her moved back from Houston this weekend. Mom's helping Eleanor get a job and settle back in.""No way, Cecelia Greene doesn't look like...that," Jacob gawked, earning a smack on the back of his head from Embry. "Don't be a dick, we haven't see her in like seven years," Embry shook his head. "I'm not being a dick, she looks great," Jake comments and Embry punched his shoulder. "Don't be a perv either," he huffed. No one noticed the way Quil's eyes didn't leave her figure, until the bell rung signaling them to go to class.
First through third period ran by quickly, with a simple "hi, I'm Cecelia Greene. I moved back here from Texas. It is a pleasure to meet you all," at the beginning of every period. Unfortunately, fourth period was one of the two classes Cecelia didn't share with Kim so, time went by slower than she hoped. She hadn't even taken the time to address the students around her, mainly keeping her focus trained on the board at the front of the room. That was of course until a familiar boy softly tapped her shoulder.
She looked away from her notes to the boy next to her. The boy greeted her with a smile so familiar that it struck a wave of nostalgia. She squinted her eyes at him as she tried to remember his name, and motioned him to come closer. He frowned in confusion but obliged, as she too leaned in. She raised a handful of her hair next to his cropped cut, and took another look at his face. Her eyes sparkled with recognition, "Embry Call."
The boy laughed loudly, earning a glare from the teacher before settling down. "You had to do all that just to remember me?" Embry shook his head in disappointment and Cecelia giggled. "No, but I had to make sure it was really you. Oddly enough I miss your long hair," she answered honestly. "I guess I just grew out of it, but look at you, all woman-ed up. What happened to the baggy jeans and snapbacks?" He teased and she smirked at him.
"I guess I grew out of them too," she said with a shrug. The two continued to quietly converse as the lecture continues, leaving half of her notebook page blank. The bell rung, signally the dismissal to lunch. She took her time to pack her items, and turned to leave but was surprised to see Embry waiting for her. She raised a brow and he shrugged, "come on, I know we're like seven years behind, but I'd like to enjoy a lunch with one of my best friends."
A smile instantly reached her face . She quickly joined his side and he ruffled her hair.
"We gotta hurry, there's a few people who have been waiting to meet you again."
