Lara's POV

I walk into the room with evie ahead of me and silas following behind me. I've only been here a day and I actually found two people who don't utterly annoy me.

"Okay so I've got a bunch of questions about a truckload of people." I say as we walk into the room. "Well I'm happy to answer but its already 5:23 and I have to get to the boys dorm at 7 so make it quick." Silas answers.

"I was talking evie count know-it-all." I say remembering he told me he was a vampire during our little chit chat inbetween classes making Evie and I laugh.

"Say count to the next vampire who isn't me and you'll end up with fangs in your neck." I laugh at his joke but his face makes me feel like that's not funny.

'Offensive vampire lingo number 1 count and probably anything related to Dracula so that rules out all my garlic jokes' I think to myself.

At that moment I realise I had gotten the load down on witches and werewolves but vampires were still a mystery to me.

"You know what silas maybe you can help..... so Evie explained how witches work and Caleb explained how werewolves work now I need you to explain how vamps work." Its creepy how natural that sounded coming out of my mouth.

"Well okay... um vampires are technically the most powerful things in this entire school a..." he is interrupted by Evie. "That would be witches."

"Come back to me with that thought when you can run 300 miles per hour."

"No, you come back to me with that thought when you can teleport across the globe."

They go back and fort like that for several minutes until I interrupt with a single sentence

"Actions speak louder than words people."

They both look at me, then Silas smiles.
"She's right you know actions do speak louder than words."

Evie raises one of her very nicely shaped eyebrows them smirks "okay silas" she stands up from her bed and walk to the left end of our room."come at me."

Silas smirks and vamps run towards her but is thrown at the wall by a powerful gust of wind. The way his body impacts the wall looks like it would probably be a fatal blow where he not immortal.

And I was right he gets up from the floor and snaps his neck back into place."ouch Evie you don't think you went too far?" I say squinting at the sound of each bone Silas adjust to it's right position.

"Well as long as we know who won that." She says with a smirk. "Whatever can I go back to telling Lara what she needs to know?" Silas says looking a little peeved.

"I wasn't stopping you" Evie says with a cocky grin plastered to her face. I roll my eyes laughing a bit with amusement written all over my face.

"Okay we vampires are mostly turned since we are not sterile beigns.... by product of being immortal I guess all except the true bloods. A true blood also known a born vampire they come from either one of 3 existing families.

Through bloods are more powerful than any kind of vampire they usually have something called their amplified gift. It's a little thing where any one true blood can have an amplified version of a single vampire gift. Like what matthew uses the night you were kidnapped.

It's called amplified compulsion. On a normal occasion a vampire us able to compel one person at a time and it usually requires eye contact. But with matthew his very voice allows him to compel crowds in a single go and with eye contact his actually able to compel other supernaturals including his fellow through bloods.
