"Please be okay. Please be okay. Please be okay!!!" He abruptly opened the door to their apartment only to find Archie standing on top of the stove. 'Preparing a meal..?' All eyes fell on the wizard quite surprised at the action. "What has gotten into you?" Archie worriedly asked. Douxie quickly closes the door behind him– proceeding to quickly hang his coat and hat. He almost trip trying to move closer to them. "You looked like you've seen something terrible." The familiar pointed out. Archie is starting to worry more at the sight of the wizard boy for he is starting to look like a madman. "Nari." The boy called. The sorceress looked up at him "Nari, were you the one calling for help? I thought something happened you even asked for me to find you." He frantically searched every sides of her in case she was most definitely hurt. "What are you talking about, Master Hisirdoux? As you can see we are completely fine. I am alright. But I am most certainly worried as Archie, about you." "I-I..." He couldn't find the right words best to describe everything that has suddenly happened. It was indeed a strange experience. For he has never sensed such magic that wants to be set free.
"I'm sorry. It's just..." He paused for a bit, arguing inside his head whether to tell it or not. "We know that you're having a heavy time taking care of the world from disaster. But you shouldn't shoulder it alone, Douxie." The boy sat on the nearest chair that he can reach. He suddenly felt that his whole body started to feel unwell. "I'm just probably starting to match up the weather." He sighed. "Well for tonight, you should at least try to relax, maybe sleep a little early. And please don't even try doing Night Patrol near our area. It's raining heavily for goodness sake." He stood up and decided to prepare dinner. He was quick to eat for he suddenly felt like crashing already on to his bed. He let out a sigh of relief. Luckily their room is on the 4th floor, the sounds of vehicles are quite muffled or was not too loud. He glanced at the window and then at the ceiling before falling asleep.
Casperan..
Echoed a voice that was familiar to him.
Casperan, help me. Please!
The voice was desperate indeed. For it even showed up in his dreams.
"Who's there? Hello??" Twist and turn he couldn't find the source of the voice only a flash of light showed up at his path. "L-lady? Miss? Where are you? Show yourself so that I could help you." He replied. The light was starting to dim, a figure of a woman showed up. Her face was unknown. The color of her skin was starting to fade, like the magic that she was using to communicate with the sorcerer was taking a toll of her body.
'Help me Casperan. I can help you with your quest protecting the world–'
The voice was cut off immediately as it was blocking it further to talk. "M-Miss? Come back! You said you can help. Hello??"
'Foolish boy.' It's the same voice but by the delivery of words it wasn't welcoming at all. "What?" He looked every corner of his voided dream. He sense danger. Like he was about to be pounce by its predator. She laughed menacingly. 'This ends now!'
He was awaken by his companion. It was a quick save, it nearly killed him on his sleep. Nari and Archie was frantically shaking him trying to pull him out of his dream. "Goodness gracious. Master Hisirdoux! Thank goodness you've awaken." Nari was relieved that he came back in his consciousness safely. "W-What happened? Why do you look so terrified right now?" He asked. "You were struggling in your sleep. You were calling to someone as if you really needed it and were terrified at the same time." Archie explained. "I don't know who this woman that has manage to crawl up to my dreams, but she means help and at the same time danger." The boy was confused. The woman spoken through sincerity. Yet, placed a warning not to come any closer. "A woman?" Asked the familiar. "Yes a woman. I felt and heard her call on my way home yesterday." "So that explains why you were struggling to get here. Why didn't you tell us?" Archie felt slightly betrayed for he care for the boy so much that whatevers happening inside of his thoughts that he's willing to listen. "I-I thought that I was getting crazy for being so paranoid. I didn't know that it was actually real." Nari moved closer to the boy and place her hand on top of his.
"Master Hisirdoux. I only have one question." She looked anxious and serious. He felt like she know the person who was calling for help. And she was more scared that he won't be able to stop the boy from seeking the truth. "Are you sure that you wanted to find her?" She laid down the question. Douxie understand it right away. "Yes." "Wait, wait, wait... Find who exactly? And are you even sure what you're putting yourself into? We don't know this person and you said it yourself, she means danger." Archie complained. It does sound bizarre. Suddenly wanting to find an unknown person that just showed up in his dream and already wanting to spread out a search part. "I fear that the Arcane is getting closer to finding us and that's why the Lady that had spoken to Master Hisirdoux is offering help." Even Nari felt unsure if whether to continue or not. "Nari, you sound like you know this person. Who is she?" He finally asked. Archie and Douxie looked at Nari, waiting for her answer. "Her name can't be spoken from the outside world, only in the realm of magic her name should be told. But she goes by the title 'Goddess of Death.'"
The sorcerer felt shiver down his spine. He felt like he knows her but he couldn't remember. The stronger the feeling the more he wants to find her. "Goddess of Death?? What on earth?" The familiar looked surprised. "The title is already enough for you to back away, Douxie." He added. He stood on it's two back legs as his front ones proceeds to cleaning his glaces. Douxie frowned. "You do know that I am not a coward, right?" "Of course you're not. Plus I didn't even mentioned you being a coward at all."
The wizard sighed and diverted his attention to the female Demigod. "So Nari, where can we find her?" He asked. "I do not know myself, Master Hisirdoux. The portals to the realm are very difficult to find. Ever since magic was forbidden, all of them have hidden themselves away." She explained. As always, the path towards solution is too far to reach. But it is not the time to be giving up. A lot of people have sacrificed their lives to save them, it'll be mockery for them of he gives up now.
He thought for awhile, the power of magic that he felt yesterday was not that far from his work place. Only he doesn't know where he'll be starting to pin point the location. "The presence of strong magic was not that far from my workplace. Maybe it's somewhere near their." He suggested. He peered to the clock and to the window. It was nearly 8, luckily it was Sunday. The weather still looked bad but not as bad as it was yesterday. "We can go there by tomorrow. But right now, I think I'm just gonna relax for today." "Good idea."
