It's been 10 years since the most depressing day happened, after that damned 16th birthday celebration all hell broke loose and it felt like I was the unluckiest person to be alive, waking up in a hospital bed feeling pain all over my body.

What worsened that pain was the news, my mother was now dead as well as the fact that my "soulmate" and best friend were nowhere to be seen neither have I ever heard from them, not even once.

The cause of my mother's death would be because of the foolishness of that man who thinks drinking under the influence of alcohol is ok, now he's going to rot in prison for 20 years.

I would still be hopeful that my soulmate or even my best friend would come and at least comfort me, I never resented them waiting for their explanation on why they didn't talk or even show up in front of me.

I got adopted by my aunt and uncle who couldn't bear children and was treated as if I'm their child, which I was extremely grateful for.

They told me that I have inherited all of my mother's stuff, It was in her will that if something awful ever happened to her I would be left with everything, the money I had inherited was used to pay for my tuition and even used to franchise a small restaurant my aunt is working on and a small store owned by my uncle which paid for everything we needed and everything we wanted.

Thinking about that for a while, my thoughts were cut off.

Someone then shouted, "Hey (Y/N)!! let's go to that new restaurant down the street it just opened so let's see what kind of food they have there," I turned around and saw Renjun, my coworker

I smiled and said, "Sure, let's go there after work and invite the others as well so we won't be lonely," I then made my way to the office.

"Alright (Y/n)!! After work don't forget!!"

"Yes, I won't forget!!"

After getting in the office, I looked through the record of my patient and began to review them for the upcoming surgery, Inspecting everything that I needed to do. After working for half the day I then got out of the building and met up with Renjun.

"Hey!! let's go, they're waiting for us in the restaurant" Renjun said, dragging me to the restaurant.

"Oh right, I hope you don't mind, I called a friend of mine to come and check the restaurant out as well" he added while continuing to drag me

"Do I know him?"

"I don't think so, don't worry you'll meet him when we arrive," He said excitedly.

We arrived at the restaurant and went to the private room we reserved, seeing that our other coworkers sat there already, We then sat down next to them.

Renjun stood up and said, "My friend said that he's already in the restaurant, I'll go get him."

When he came back the friend he brought looked familiar, he looked like my best friend but I dismissed the idea and just greeted him.

"Hi, I'm (Y/N) (L/N)" I greeted smiling while I shook his hand.

"And you are?"
