As everyone made it up the flight of stairs the rest of the applicants and myself walked out of the tunnel to now rest until the next part of our phase awaits for us.

The fog in the air from outside quickly filled up the area as Satotz the examiner began to instruct us about the forest we will be entering and to always keep eyes on him throughout the run.

Satotz had been cut off by a man screaming at the examiner and everybody else in the scene. "DON'T LET THEM FOOL YOU!!" The man screamed as everyone turned their gaze to the man.

"HES LYING TO YOU!!" the male pointed at the examiner as everyone in the crowd gasped. "He isn't the real examiner. I am!" Everyone started to murmur and whisper to each other which then lead the other applicants to be suspicious of the purple-haired examiner.

"Look at this!" He then pulled out an ape-like monkey whose face had familiar features to the other purple-haired examiner. to be honest, it was pretty convincing I even suspected it for a second.

Though, as all the applicants started to suspect Satotz, out of nowhere, a card was thrown at the man, Satotz then... me? I caught the card without any effort as I glared at back at the examiner who also caught the card with a little ease. T

hen I directed my gaze at the male with the ape whose had been stabbed in the chest by the card. The red-haired male, Hisoka only grinned then winked at me as he shuffled his cards

"I see, I see~"

Everyone faced the magician as he shuffled his cards back-and-forth. "That settles it... You're the real one~" He stared at the purple-haired examiner while his signature smirk plastered on his face.

The crowd of applicants went on a whim as they looked back at the examiner with guilt and embarrassment in their eyes. "Examiners are hunters, selected by the committee to perform this duty without pay~ Any hunter, bearing the title we seek would been able to block such a simple attack~ "

"That is flattering #44 however, should you attack me again, for any reason I will immediately disqualify you from the exam for turning on an examiner. Is that clear" The examiner narrowed his eyes onto the clown as he waited for a respond. "Yes~" The examiner sighed deeply and continued instructing the rules and safety while going through the forest.

I trailed behind the rest of the group for many purposes, the main reason was to stay as far as possible from the clown himself. I was around 15 meters behind Hisoka as he disappeared in the thick fog that surrounded the forest-like swamp. As I ignored his sudden disappearance, I turned my gaze to the side of the running track as I saw the familiar figure of the magician surrounded by a group of other applicants.

Huh?...

I used zetsu to hide my presence and climb up into the tree making no sound whatsoever and looked down at Hisoka who has been surrounded. "When I saw you last year. I knew you weren't Hunter material" One of the applicants shouted out at the magician as the other applicants huddled in closer as the clown only licked his lips.

Idiots...

You can't just pick a fight with someone whos a way higher level of fighting than you.

"We'll spare you, if you swear not to take the hunters exam ever again!" As the other applicant lashed out at Hisoka, it only stirred up the magician even more. "so thats why~"

"Having already failed, you wish to play examiner~?"This statement from the magician made the groups blood boil then the group, all at once, then began to make the circle they formed around Hisoka even tighter as they ran to attack him. "You'll pay for that!"
The red-haired male only made a low chuckle at the applicants foolish actions.
Rei sighed deeply as he knew what was about to happen, in a split second all the applicants that has surrounded him has suddenly stopped in their own tracks as fell on their knees, dead. Except for one who had moved out of the way for it to only hit his thigh. "P-please! Spare me!" The words he gave made a low chuckle erupt from him as he watched the last applicants crawl around as he begged for his life, which only made the red-haired male shiver form the fear and panic in the crippled males eyes. Rei then suddenly sensed two other applicants who had entered the area, with a trace of aura covering them. "Too late~" The clown made a ear-to-ear grin at the male beneath him as in seconds, the red-haired male swiped a card at his head which then he earns two gasps from the anonymous people while they watched him take the life of an applicant. Hisoka then directed his gaze at the two strangers from the corner of his eyes. Rei climbs over to a closer branch as he tried to hear what they were saying to each-other. Finally, the fog cleared out of the way. Rei then finally took a proper glance at the two strangers, One had blonde hair and he wore a robe-like outfit and beneath was a white training suit. The other was a tall male, in a tuxedo with glasses. "On the count of three...we both run in the opposite direction.."

Smart.

"1..."
The magician gave the two guys a grin as they stared warily back at the clown studying  every movement he makes.
"2..."
The area was silent as the only noise that can be heard was the leaves swaying down to the ground as fog then again, fogged up the two males
"3!"
Their footsteps echoed against the trees as their presence were no longer in reach. The red-haired male chuckled beneath his breath as he grinned in the direction where the males were. Though, out of nowhere, the familiar presence of one of the males suddenly came back, "I can't just run away from a fight..." The tall male who wore a tuxedo slowly trailed towards the magician as the tall male swiftly  retrieved a blade from his suitcase while running straight at the clown. Hisoka only grinned at the males actions before dodging the strikes at attacks he received with ease. This angered the well-suited male as he kept swinging and slashing at the clown. As Rei admired the fight going on the magician disappeared then reappeared behind the male with a dagger as he then punched him, causing him to fling in the air and land on the ground near a tree.

How...How did he move that fast?

Something caught Rei's attention. The end of a fishing rod swung at Hisoka and landed a hit on his jaw as the red-haired male was distracted by the merely conscious guy beside a tree on the ground. A mischievous smirk grew on the magicians face as he turned his eyes to the direction in where the fishing rod had been swung.

Hey guys!! Sorry I haven't updated in a couple days and this chapter isn't that entertaining.. I'll be sure to add some type of smut in the next chapter.
