You woke up and couldn't feel anyone next to you in bed. You felt yourself sweating. You couldn't stand that feeling anymore. You wanted to get out of house by yourself. You decided to get out of bed and dressed one of your favourite dresses. Then, forgetting your wheel chair, you went for a walk. It felt great to have the wind touching your pale skin. You started walking down the streets. Suddenly you felt a bit tired, and stopped at a cafe. When the waiter asked you what you wanted you said:
- I wanted a glass of water, please.
The waiter nodded and went to get your glass. You waited but sometimes felt a sharp pain on your waist.
'Damn. It's going to start. But maybe water calms down the pain a bit.'
When you were about to leave, you felt again the pain, but this time it was stronger. You tried to ignore it but every step you gave made it harder to ignore. As you couldn't stand it anymore, you fell on your knees and started screaming asking for help. Everyone in the street started to round you until someone decided to call an ambulance. They took you as fast as they could to the hospital.
Japan was at getting ready for a meeting and, as he got the bad news...
- She what? - he said surprised.
- Yes. - The strange voice announced. - She was found screaming in pain.-
- Was she with a wheel chair?
- No sir.
'That's what I feared.' He thought. - I-I'm coming. - Japan answered nervous.
He started running, forgetting how important the meeting was. When he arrived at the hospital he didn't care about telling he had to see you. He searched for you all over the operation rooms. Finally, he found a big room full of machines ready for working. He entered the room. The nurses tried to stop him from getting closer but he didn't give up until he held your hand.
- ________! ________!!! Please, wake up, ________! - he screamed.
You could hear a voice calling your name. You opened your eyes to see Japan holding your hand and tearing.
- Kiku... - you whispered. - Is that you...?
- ________... you're alive, thank god.
- Where am I?
- At the hospital, you idiot...
He tried not to cry but it was hard because you both knew you had a serious kidney cancer.
- Why are you crying?
- Is that supposed to be a joke? - he said, now angry. - You have a kidney cancer and you ask me why am I crying?
- But I'm going to be fine.
- How do you know?
- I don't. I just feel.
And once again you started screaming.
- ________! What's wrong?! ________! Help. HELP! Somebody!
Nurses and doctors start to arrive to help. He held your hand harder, never letting it go.
The electrocardiograph was indicating that your living time was vanishing.
- ________! Please, ________, don't leave me.
- Kiku, please don'...
You were cut by his kiss. He knew it was time, even not wanting to believe. And even during your last kiss, he didn't let go your hand, with fear of losing you, by vanishing.
- I'm begging, ________. Don't go. Stay and hold my hand forever.
- Kiku, you know it's time. My journey is over.
- No. It's not over. You just need to be more careful next time and...- he couldn't stop crying.
- There will be no next time for me in this life.- you started crying too. - It's over.
- No...Please...
But it was too late. The electrocardiograph indicated no live signal.
- NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!- screamed the broken hearted boy.
'Hold my hand,
Baby I promise that I'll do.
Hold my hand,
Things will go better if you just;
Hold my hand.
Nothing can come between us if you just;
Hold my,
Hold my,
Hold my hand.
Hold my hand...'
