The place was poisoned.
The Vulture's darts spread green vines all over the place, growing in the ground and in the air. We tried our best to chop down the vines, but it kept growing. There was nothing we could do.
In a panic, Chira ran towards the center of the browny ground, where the vines were unable to reach yet, and uprooted the sapling. Echo winced.
I understood what was going on and ran in to help. We raced away from the place as fast as possible, carrying Echo between us.
Finally, after running for what seemed like hours, we appeared in a big stadium ruins filled to the brim with muck and dazzling pink light brighter than before. Columns stood broken all the way round, and I remembered this place. This was where I saw the dream of Phro...
I saw a green mist shrouding one of the gates lining the edges... But a figure was guarding it.
When I saw who it was, I ran towards him. I couldn't believe my eyes, and my tear ducts overflowed. "Nyacin! Oh, you're alive! Thank Gods!" I shouted over the top of my lungs, and my voice echoed. When he saw me, he smiled happily.
"Cylla, you made it. Hail, Queen! May she protect the trees." He said, and collapsed.
I caught him before he hit ground. "Nyacin..." I said, "What's wrong? What- what happened?"
He coughed. "Vulture... Whalius... And-" cough,"- more... I kept them off, but I can't hold any longer, you're here. Cylla, in the name of the Queen... I announce you-" cough, "-the new heirumphia of camp. May gods bless you, and the camp. Hail, Queen, may she protect us. Lead, Heirumphia, for you are now in charge, may you lead the camp to success and glory..."
I wanted to protest. How could I make a good leader when I couldn't even save my best friend? How could I lead anyone when at the time of battle I ran away like a coward? I couldn't lead anything... but Nyacin closed his eyes.
He never opened them again.
That was it for my patience. I had lost two of the most important people in my life, all because of the stupid Vulture and protecting the tree. Because of the stupid Whalius. The wolfheads. All the earthlings... They must die. I would hunt each and every one of them down till my last breath. This was it. I wasn't going to let them destroy any more of my family. I hoped the camp was safe, and I prayed to the gods for what I was about to do.
I ran inside the gate, the other 5 trepents behind me.
A blast of hopelessness and sorrow filled me, but I couldn't let myself get distracted. Adrenaline coursed through my veins. I ran at top speed, even faster than Houre, Chira, Jusa, Krei, and Echo. I could feel the Frovine Yov waking inside me as I got closer to the tree. The trepents shouted, "QUEEN! STOP!" But I wasn't going to stop. Not now. Not when it was so close.
I saw the life seeking the tree, I felt the air change into a cool and gentle breeze, the atmosphere shimmered with flicks of green, yellow, and red. A blue sky spread above me. I saw the massive tree trunk in front of me, teeming with green and white life, and spirits. I felt attracted to it, like it was pulling me. I ran at light speed, leaving the trepents behind in a daze. I kicked myself up and held my hands together, white light seeping out of my palms. I aimed for the heart of the tree and blasted the spirit of the Queen outside me in a supernova.
