Advena awoke groggily. She meekly lifted her head, trying to remember why she was in the sterile, white-walled room.

Ships flew down by the dozen. Advena stared at them. She had resolved not to kill any Yautja, despite them being the reason why her one and only mate was now dead, reduced to ash. But this... this looked like an invasion force.

Advena urged herself to get up, but found her limbs were too heavy to move.

Advena gathered all the remaining Xenomorphs behind her, just in case. She approached the biggest of the ships cautiously. She yelped as a ramp swung down and almost cracked her skull open. The creatures that exited the ship were not Yautja, but humans. Kuala called Alistair over to greet the new arrivals. But for some reason Alistair yelled at them to run before scrabbling for the small gun he kept at his side. Three bullets impacted Alistair’s body, knocking him to the ground and killing him instantly. Kuala screeched in absolute blind rage, throwing herself wildly into the group of humans that had taken her mate from her.

Advena slowly became aware of the uncomfortable feeling of something rubbing against her wrists.

Advena stood there numbly as Kuala’s blood splattered the ground.

“Idiot! Weyland wants these bastards ALIVE,” one of the humans yelled. No...

Advena rattled the shackles uselessly. Even her strength wasn’t enough to snap the sturdy metal.

As the Xenomorphs started tearing apart the invaders, more humans started pouring out of the other ships, coming up behind them. Enraged villagers flooded the streets using whatever came to hand as weapons. The humans blasted away at the villagers, mowing them down effortlessly. The invaders outnumbered them twenty to one, even including the Xenomorphs. The unoccupied humans started firing blue bolts out of their guns. When a Xenomorph was hit by one, they dropped to the ground limply. Advena cried out in anguish as she saw Ostea get hit by five bolts. Not her... Advena pleaded silently. She’s all I have left... Advena scampered over to her body, shaking the Xenomorph by the shoulder.

Wake up!” Advena cried. She held a hand over Ostea’s maw, to find she was still breathing. She recalled one of the humans exaggerating the importance of having them alive. She had no more time to think about this as one of the bolts hit her.

Advena cocked her head as she heard footsteps near the room she was in. She took a deep breath, preparing to let out a furious roar at whoever it was, but the footsteps passed by her door and continued down what she assumed was a corridor.

Advena came crashing to the ground sideways, her limbs feeling like they were made of lead. She lay on her side, watching the chaos around her. Humans were slaughtered left and right, the houses that had once made up her home burned. Barely five Xenomorphs were still standing, one of them swaying unsteadily on their feet.

Advena heard muffled voices coming from behind the door.

A human invader walked over to Advena, shooting her another three times with his gun. She struggled to stay conscious as she heard a large vehicle being pulled up beside her.

“Are you sure that thing’s asleep? I really don’t feel like dying Corporal.”

“Can never be too sure.” Advena felt another bolt hit her, and she finally lost her battle with the dark embrace of unconsciousness.

Two humans entered the room in front of her, chatting amongst themselves.

“Weyland has already done some amazing research with these things,” one said.

“Yeah, like putting human brains in their body. Man, imagine how bad-ass you would feel being one of those!” the second one exclaimed excitedly.  He tapped a few things into a computer console as the other one read over Advena’s bio-readings.

“It’s a shame they lost the research for that. Something about a guy called ‘Jake’ blowing up the station.”

“Yeah. Who names a Xenomorph ‘Jake’ anyway?”

“Actually, I heard he was human, but he used the research to turn himself into a Xeno.” Advena was listening intently to them, wishing she could rip their throats out for even mentioning the name of her dead mate.

“Oh, so that’s why he’s being held in a different part of the complex?”

“I would think so.” No, they can’t be... they have to be talking about someone else! “Or maybe he’s just suicidal. You know Weyland only just managed to save him from blowing himself up with a nuclear bomb.”

“Nuclear bomb? Nah, it was one of those Predators’ bombs. Speaking of Predators... ugly bastards, aren’t they?”

“Yeah. You seen the hybrid yet...?” Advena stopped listening. Her mate was alive. She roared in joy, letting the whole world know of her happiness. The two humans started and whirled around to glare at her. She rattled her shackles again, rubbing her skin against them.

“Don’t worry,” one of the humans laughed. “She can’t get out.”

“I dunno... she’s doing something weird with her arms...” Finally, Advena’s continuous rubbing broke her skin. Acid squirted on the metal, melting it with a satisfying hisss. The two humans screamed and tried to push past each other in a desperate attempt to escape. Advena ripped free of her prison and flung one at the wall. She practically ripped the other in half with her tail.

I’m coming my mate!” Advena roared.

The End

A/N: Nope, that does not mean another sequel. You just have to use your imagination to come up with what happens next... aren't I an ass?
