Teardrop picked up the last piece of wood and headed back to her "campsite", which so far was just a circle of rocks in a small clearing. It had been a pretty calm day for her. She hadn't seen a single person, she had managed to find a nice clearing in the forest, AND she had found a tree at the edge of the clearing with a hollow large enough for her to sleep in. Today, she was gathering wood to make a fire, so she could warm up before sleeping. Tomorrow, she would stockpile more wood and begin to explore the forest. She figured that the more she explored, the more likely she would find a weapon. Then she'd head out and try to find others.

TD reached her clearing and started to organize the wood in the circle of rocks. She took two rocks and started to scrape them together in hope of a spark. But the sudden noise of trumpets made her drop them.

"CONTESTANTS!" Four's voice rang out over the arena for the second time that day. "Every day at sunset, I will display who has died in the sky, as well as how they died and what place they got. You will even get to see how many kills everyone has, if they have any. Here are the people who have died today!"

Teardrop looked up and saw a list of four people - Bubble, who died first by getting electrocuted, then Firey Jr (extinguished), then David (blown up), and Pen, who died most recently by falling into a void. Finally, it showed that Ice Cube was the only person with a kill so far, which was one. Then the images faded.

TD was so mesmerized by the images in the sky that she almost didn't notice a glow approaching her. When she did, she jumped in the bushes to hide and peeked out.

Firey was walking straight towards TD's wood pile, but tripped over it because he was watching the sky. He got back up, grumbling, and continued forward. He didn't appear to notice TD.

She watched him go. She didn't trust Firey, especially after how she saw he was arguing with Leafy in episode 15. Teardrop glanced back at her wood pile and saw with delight that Firey had accidentally ignited it! She walked back over and warmed her hands. It would be a long night, but the fire would help a lot.

--------------------

This jungle is a little spooky, Basketball thought. She'd explored the golden forest at night a lot, back between episodes, but she'd never seen it as scary. Now, with the threat of being murdered everywhere, a dark jungle at night was the last place she wanted to be. She hadn't found the edge yet, though.

All of a sudden, she heard voices. Her mind jumped to the conclusion that this forest was haunted and that she was hearing ghosts, and she leapt back in terror. But then she listened more closely and heard laughter. Ghosts don't laugh, even if they existed, she thought. Then she recognized one of the voices. Grassy? She ran towards it.

Bursting through the bushes, Basketball found Grassy and Bottle sitting next to a fire, talking to each other. "Grassy!" she cried.

"Basketball!" Grassy said in pure delight.

They ran to each other and hugged. "Oh, I'm so glad I found you!" Basketball exclaimed. Then she looked at Bottle. "Hey."

"Hi, Basketball!" Bottle said cheerily.

"So, uhh, do you still do that whole 'preventing death' thing?"

"Yup! I'm so excited to keep preventing death!" A cannon shot fired in the background. "Aaaaaand someone is dead!"

Basketball relaxed. She could trust Bottle. Probably.

She wiggled out of Grassy's hug. "We should probably put out this fire - it might attract people's attention."

"Aw, but Grassy likes being warm!" Grassy complained.

"Well, you can sleep on my head, if you want. That should keep both of us warm."
