Olivias POV
I was gobsmacked. I mean, how would you feel in my place? I had just been told that my parents are WIZARDS?! How am I supposed to take that news? And now, I'm expected to drop everything from my cozy, cottage home in Clare, and run off to Scotland. I don't know how to feel about all this. On one hand, I'm excited. I did just find out I'm a witch. But on the other hand, a witch?! Witches aren't real. I didn't even know if I believed my parents. That was until my dad decided to plant and grow a whole celery stalk right in front of me in the space of 10 seconds. Celery doesn't grow that fast, no matter what the conditions, of course I know that. So, that was all the proof I needed. I am a witch.
Father said that we had to travel to London soon to some place called Diagon Alley. He explained to me that it was a magical street in London for magic folk only, and that was where we could buy all of my wizard school supplies. I was really excited. I've never left Clare before, never mind Ireland. Since we had to travel across sea, my father said that apparating was not an option, as it could result in splinching, whatever that was. So he booked us a small boat for the weekend, and we were to stay in some place called the Leaky Cauldron. We were set to leave at 6am next morning, and I couldn't even pretend to be tired. I forced myself to bed, but got little to no sleep that night. At 5am, I jumped up and was ready to start my new life.
