The day of the Nine-tails attack...

The night was quite and silent. To the village, it was just another night. Unknown to them, in a certain underground basement, a certain hot headed Uzumaki was giving birth.

Her screams echoed through the walls. The fourth hokage was trying to control the seal. Beside him, a woman who looked exactly like him was helping the jinchuriki while trying to calm the beast.

The fourth hokage was struggling to keep the seal stable. The kyubi was thrashing to escape. The woman finally gave birth to a small baby boy.

Minato Namikaze was watching his wife Kushina holding his new born son. Although the child had been born, the seal was not yet completely stable. Isume Namikaze, the sister of the fourth hokage, although tired from the whole ordeal, had a smile on her face watching her brothers newly found family.

She felt her 5-month pregnant stomach. 'Soon', she thought. The perfect family, was what one would say looking at the four people- Kushina, Minato, Isume and their newly welcomed member, Naruto.

They didn't know the storm that was stirring. They didn't know this was their last time seeing each other. They didn't know... that their happy family had come to an end before it even began.

A masked man killed all the ANBU protecting the place. Very swiftly, he killed Biwasko, the third hokage's wife too. The only one that could fight him at the moment was Minato.

The kyubi was soon unleashed, controlled by the masked man. "ISUME RUN!! DON'T COME BACK HERE!", her twin brother shouted, trying to fight the kyubi.

Isume assisted him as long as she could but it was not enough. She was a pregnant woman and any more stress would cause her to lose her beloved child.

She saw the Minato and Kushina take their last breaths, the limp bodies falling to the ground. She ran towards them as fast as her legs would carry her. Her tears fell to ground as she held her brother's and best friend's bodies.

Minato's once warm arms were now icy and cold. She placed one last kiss on his forehead. She felt like her other half had died. Her twin, her only family, her reason to live had just died. She felt empty.

Minato's voice in her ears, "As long as I am alive, I won't let anyone even touch a hair on your head." He always said that. 'What now Minato... you aren't alive anymore.' I stroked Minato's hair one last time. Looking at him was like looking in the mirror. I saw ANBU approaching and put a small genjutsu on my stomach.

She went with the third hokage, looking at Kakashi one last time. Once they were alone in his office, they sat in silence for a minute when Sarutobi decided to break it. "Isume, dear, I am so sorry for your loss.", he said. "The entire village suffered a huge loss. They lost their fourth hokage and not to forget the casualties suffered while fighting the kyubi.", replied not wanting to talk about how she lost her twin brother. She was still in denial of his death and was hoping that he would flash into the room saying he was not dead.

Hiruzen Sarutobi sighed as he looked at the woman in front of him. Her eyes which dazzled with warmth looked icy and hollow. He knew she did not want to talk but this was not something they could avoid.

"I know what you are going to say Hiruzen. I am going to leave with Jiraiya tomorrow. Call us back in 11 years. Konoha is too dangerous for me and the child. Also I am taking Shisui with me. You can send him missions using a hawk or something. He will come back in 5 months' time. You know the things with the Uchiha are going to stir right. Hiruzen, this is just the beginning. The identity of my child will remain a secret. Nobody must know that my child is an Uchiha. the only one with that knowledge is me, you, Jiraiya and Shisui and maybe even Tsunade."

The hokage merely nodded at her words knowing she was right. Isume left the hokage's office. "Take care of Naruto.", she said without turning around.

4 months later in a civilian village...

Isume Namikaze was giving birth. Shisui Uchiha, her student, was sitting by her and comforting her while Shizune was asking her to push. Her sensei, Jiraiya, was helping her, knowing she was very weak at the moment.

Soon, she gave birth to a beautiful girl. Isume's heartbeat was slowing. "TSUNADE!! HELP!!", shouted Jiraiya. They tried to help the woman, but nothing would stabilise her. She weakly shook her head. "I knew I was going to die.", she said. "I have written 12 letters. Give those to her when you think she is ready." She turned to Shisui. His face looked sad and his eyes were teary. "Shhh... don't cry, Shisui. Protect your sister, okay? I love you Shisui, though you weren't related to me by blood, I always thought of you as my own son."

She handed her daughter to Shisui. The child opened her eyes in Shisui's arms. He smiled looking at them. One of her eyes were beautiful and a vibrant blue while the other was a midnight black. Her eyes were entrancing and sparkly. Although the child in his arms was only his half-sister, he would love her and protect her like she was his world. She had the black hair of a true Uchiha.

She looked a lot like her mother but she had high cheekbones like Shisui.

This was how Adira Uchiha Namikaze was born.
