Another story for you guys! I'm so excited for this one! Enjoy!- Ren

Pain ripped through my rib cage like a knife. I hissed in pain while I jammed a few of my belongings, stuffed in Ziploc bags, into a duffle bag. I grabbed the photo album of my family before they were killed by vamps. Before everyone hated me because I resurrected too many ghosts. I plucked out a picture and left it on the bed. I threw the duffle over my shoulder and took one last look at my room.

Since my family died and I was underaged, I had to move into the pack house. I ended up with a furnished broom closet. It could have been better, but it could have been way worse. I was fifteen now. I thought I could hold out for the few years, but that all changed when he rejected me.

More pain stabbed my lungs. Don't think about it, my wolf, Sakura, begged. I shifted at fourteen and ended up with a silver wolf. No one ever knew though. I didn't want them to hurt her, too. Sakura growled. They'll suffer for what they did to you, she hissed. We have a destiny too great for their pitiful minds to comprehend.

I threw open the door and went to run down the stairs. The front door opened then slammed shut. Laughter floated up the stairs.

"I can't believe that mutt thought you were her mate," Lex said. The group snickered. From the scents, there were eight of them there. Lex, Josh, Derek, Jesse, Ozzy, Stacey, Lance, and him.

"She hasn't even shifted yet." Josh had always been a moron. "Are you sure they didn't adopt her?" Neanderthal.

"Who knows? They were always too kind." He was speaking. "They would have been better off putting her down." The group of jerks laughed.

I didn't want to hear anymore of this. I spun around and ran up the stairs.

"The stupid mutt is home!" I didn't know who yelled this. I didn't care.

I ran to the third floor and sprinted to the window that overlooks the backyard. I slammed on the frame with my fist. The frame splinterd. The whole window fell to the ground. Feet were pounding up the stairs.

"What the-," Lance screamed

The rest is lost to the wind. I stretched and grabbed the tree branch with my hands. This lessened my impact on the ground. There were clothes tearing and snarls. I ran. I knew the secrets of this place. While everyone trained together, I was out here playing tricks on the patrol. A giggle flicked through me as I flew past trees and over roots. I sprinted to the cliff and the lake. They won't follow me there. Hopefully, they will all think me dead. His wolf will always know I'm alive, but he won't believe it.

Another two miles, and I'll be free. I smiled. The thought made me pick up the pace. I heard them growling. Lex jumped at me. The roundhouse kick to the face I gave her while I spun on the ball of my foot sent her flying to him and Josh. I giggled again as I completed the spin and dashed. A half mile to go. I picked up the pace again. Sakura let out a wolfy chuckle.

A few seconds later, the pack of wolves were snapping at my heels with more vigor.

Ozzy jumped this time. I dodged and let him sail into an oak tree. I burst out into the clearing and kept going. There were bones cracking behind me. Who was changing? I didn't slow though. There was the cliff! I sped up. I needed speed to get away from the face to deeper water. There, the current would take me to the river. I would get out at the river's mouth. I made sure the duffle was secure, then jumped.

I spread my arms for a moment. I felt something brush my hair. Then I started to fall. I pointed my toes, put my legs together, held my breath, slapped my palms to my hips and waited. Cool water slammed into me. I was deep enough not to touch the bottom, but the currents still affected me greatly. They swept me out to the river within thirty seconds. At thirty five seconds, it was safe to get out. The lack of my scent should buy me some time.

My duffel was soaked, but due to the plastic bags my things inside were safe. I took it off and shifted. The jokers wouldn't be looking for a wolf.

I took my ripped clothes into my mouth and daintily place them back in the river. Duffle bag in mouth, I made a break for it.

I don't know how far I walked after that. Eventually, I made it to a clearing. After stashing the duffle up in a tree, I let Sakura hunt rabbits. We slept for a little while. I needed to find a pack that would take us in. She hunted again the next morning.

That afternoon was when crap hit the fan.
