Prologue - Old Tales

The young water bender sat near the fire, trying to warm up while the snowstorm raged outside. She was with a group of varying children, some from every nation. They listened as her Uncle told stories and epics from his adventures in the past. 

"Well, I believe I have time for one more story." He said. "This one is very special to me."

The children all moved closer to her Uncle's chair, trying to get to a better position to hear the story. She herself had moved too, even though she was already right next to her Uncle.

"Now, this story isn't for the timid of heart. I ask that you take this one a tad bit more seriously. Who knows, you might learn something."

Another woman, the young water bender's Aunt, was walking around and passing hot chocolate to the listeners. She listened in as well, even though she'd heard it a thousand times. 

"Is everyone ready? Comfy, full from our earlier meals? No one wants to take a bathroom break?"

The children all looked at one another, and after a few seconds of silence, all looked back to the story teller. 

"Good. So, it all began one evening in the fishing canal right outside our very tribe..."
