"OH HEY, WE MEET AGAIN. WHAT A COINCIDENCE." He extended a hand towards me, offering to help me up.

"O-Oh!" I hesitantly reach out to him. "Thanks for helping me up. I'm sorry I yelled at you earlier...I was out of line."

       "Okay."

       ...

"Okay?" I blink. I excepted him to unleash hell's cage on me or something. But I guess he's either super chill or it's a waste of his time.

       "Hm?"

"I thought that you would be mad?" I respond, furrowing my brows a little. "You know, 'cause I threw a tantrum?"

       "I don't mind."

       'Wow..this is one...exceptionally chill dude.'

       "So..."

We now just stood there in silence.

The golden blond staring into my soul.

And me, rocking back and forth on my heels.

"Haha—" I began, a friendly smile on the outside, BUTETERNALLYPANICKINGONTHEINSIDE. "Now that I've made this awkward, I'll take my leave—"

       "Why?"

"Oh my gosh is this hot cutie-patooie really asking why I'm a panicking mess?" I grumbled, but then automatically covering up my mouth.

"I'll take that as a compliment."

"INCOMING STARBEAM ROCKETS FROM THE ALIENS—YOU DIDN'T HEAR ANYTHING!" I shriek, waving my arms in a frenzy.

       "Wanna practice?"

       "Huh?"

"Want...To...Practice?" Free questioned, slowly pronouncing every word as if he were mocking me. "Blading."

       "O-Oh um—sure!"

'How did it come to this?'

At first we were blading as planned.

Though, that slowly melted into a casual conversation while we both sat on the steps. Haha ha...totes casual!

       It was awkward.

It's a moment where no one speaks.

The only noises that made it through my ears is the beautiful voice of nature, the birds chirping, and our hushed breathing.
