Without the showcase, technically Jeongguk has no reason to push himself so hard.

Jimin walks in on him lying limp on the floor, bones and muscles exhausted from the strain of these last two weeks.

He doesn't know what's changed, there's something tangling inside of him, winding him up with pent up frustration that he works hard to push from his body. To over exert himself so it unravels in the way it always does.

But it doesn't and he can't ignore it.

"Okay, what's going on?" Jimin asks, sighing as he takes a seat besides Jeongguk. "Why are you stressing yourself out?"

Groaning, Jeongguk rolls on his side and covers his face. "I don't know," he mutters into his sleeve. "I haven't figured it out yet."

Jimin hums, leaning back on his arms. "Well we don't have any performances coming up. And finals are over."

Jeongguk groans again. "I know."

"Maybe," Jimin says, a smile creeping on his face. "Maybe you need to get laid."

Scrunching up his nose, Jeongguk finally looks over at Jimin but the other interrupts before he can say anything.

"Don't give me that look. When was the last time you got laid?"

Jeongguk sighs. "I don't know. A few weeks ago? A little bit before the showcase?"

He can see Jimin struggling not to pout or fidget like he does when he's upset, but he ignores it. If it's because Jimin's upset Jeongguk hasn't fallen for his best friend yet, he can take that shit somewhere else. Jeongguk will not speak on the subject anymore.

"We could go out clubbing tonight if you're down."

Jeongguk thinks about it, rubbing his face with both hands. "Tomorrow is Saturday, so I guess."

Jimin jumps to his feet, "Great! I'll text the chat, see if anyone else wants to join"

"Okay," Jeongguk sits up and stretches his arms. "I'm gonna shower and change."

The practice room showers isn't the ideal place to think about heavy thoughts, it doesn't have much privacy and if Jeongguk takes too long, Jimin's dirty little mind will definitely have things to say about it.

But he can't help stopping his movements, hands lingering in his hair with foaming shampoo as a memory surfaces from a couple of weeks ago.

"I know this is probably—you probably don't care or anything." Taehyung stumbles to say. "But I feel like I should clarify so no one gets any misleading ideas." He takes a deep breath, eyes looking deep into his own.

"I'm dating Minho. I like Minho." He states clearly. "I still care about you—like I do with everyone in our friend group. I worry about your health just like I worry about theirs. So I bring you food—and I plan on continuing to bring you food because I care about you as a friend. Not for any other reason."

And something about it, something about the way he said it made Jeongguk feel weird. Not good weird, but an angry sort of weird. Frustrated for the same reasons he'd been when the whole food thing started.
