'hope everyone had a good new year's day, after we finished filming.' mia said, greeting the crew and the band as they entered the set.

'harry certainly did.' niall snickered, gaining a nudge from harry and a pointed look from simon.

nobody was informed simon would be here today. but after the change of plans for the video, he wanted to come and see.

harry looked over at the man who mouthed 'ill speak to you later.' with a stern look. harry immediately was filled with anxiety and fear, and niall apologized- but it wasn't his fault.

'right. harry we're going to finish up with you and then you can go home early.' mia spoke, directing harry over to his room where he was filming.

although he was a little distracted. his mind kept replaying the events from last night.

'lewis! what happened? i saw the pap pics from last night!' eleanor exclaimed as louis walked into the coffee shop.

louis grabbed his apron and stopped. 'pap pics? they got released? harry told me simon had to approve of them before they were allowed to be published.' louis said in confusion.

simon had allowed paparazzi photos to be released of harry and a boy. on a date.

'weird. but like- what happened?' she pressed, washing her hands in the staff sink. 'el you know i can't really tell you everything.' louis sighed. and el knew it was true.

'just an overrun. i'm your best friend lou, i'm not gonna tell anyone.' she said, looking down at the floor.

'okay like- a lot happened. we're kind of official now, you know?' he explained, as if it were nothing.

'what the fuck?! louis! why didn't you call me as soon as it happened? who asked who? did you kiss? oh my god. you fuc-'

'eleanor! jesus shut up. i've given you all i feel comfortable sharing, okay? can we just get on with work, now? i wanna finish early.'

louis smiled at the message, just little things like that made him happy.

louis kept smiling, and slipped his phone in his back pocket, quickly following eleanor out to the front.

'hi louis!' marco said, as he was chatting to another member of staff. 'hi marco!' louis chirped. he was in a very good mood today.

the starbucks was empty as it had only just opened, so most of the employees were just lounged around the workspace.

'the doors locked.' louis frowned, walking over to the door and rattling it. 'why is it locked? isnt jeffery here?' he asked his co-workers.

'i've seen him.' marco frowned, shrugging his shoulders. then a large, old man walked out of the back room.

'everyone, sorry for calling you in today when you don't need to work. i've just received some news and everyone can go home for the night. i'll let you all know when you can come back in, it might be later this week.' jeffery sighed, rubbing his temples and dismissing the staff.
