'It's good to see you smiling after the last few weeks you've had.' Lucy informed Sarah as they sat in the college canteen the following day, eating lunch and gossiping about those who passed them by.

'Who is he?'

'Who?' Sarah asked, circling her food around the plate with her fork.

She leaned her elbow on the table and used her hand to hold up her head as she focused on the mundane activity she was the sole participator in.

'Whoever this guy is that's clearly on your mind.'

Sarah raised her head and searched her friends face, her eyes wide with surprise. She turned her head left and then right to be sure that there were no interfering passers- by.

'There is someone isn't there?' Lucy leaned forward, her grin was so wide that the glow from her teeth blinded Sarah.

'Yeah there is but keep it to yourself for now. I don't want to scare him away.'

Lucy's position was still poised like it had been before, only this time her grin had been replaced by a smile and that look that was always in her eyes every time she wanted her friend to elaborate on the story she was conveying.

'Well..' she encouraged when Sarah ignored her silent request.

'Well what? There's not much to tell except that he's a little bit older than me and you sort of know him'

Lucy counted on her fingers and said aloud all the names of the boys they mutually knew but when Sarah stayed still, without even twitching her head, Lucy sighed and placed her head on the table.

'I'll find out' she winked playfully.

'But hey' she continued after a few moments of silence.

'If he makes you feel that happy then go for it.'

Sarah stood up, the tray that had been holding her lunch in her hand as she prepared to carry it over to the rack for collection and subsequent wash.

'You're right' she told her friend when she leaned forward and kissed her cheek before she skipped away with the phone in her hand.

'I thought I'd scared you off' Zander said as he took Sarah's jacket from her and placed on the coat stand behind the door.

'Of course not, I've just had a lot on' Sarah nervously rubbed her hands together and, as though she were a confused puppy searching for his mother, she entered the living room.

With his arms wrapped around her shoulders and head resting on her neck Zander walked behind her, their movement resembled that of a mother penguin and her cub. Together they sat down, his arm draped over the backrest as he subtly attempted to wrap it around Sarah's shoulder. When Sarah shuffled in the seat, Zander's arm fell to the cushion and he carefully pushed his hand closer to her waist.

Zander brushed his hand above Sarah's waistband and when she didn't flinch, he kept it there. Slowly, he separated the waistband from her skin and pushed his hand inside. Sarah turned her head to Zander and pressed it against his, she touched their lips together until he obliged.

Sarah groaned inside Zander's mouth but as he went to push her downward on the couch, she pulled away and dramatically jumped from her position.

'Sorry' she answered and began to tidy herself up.

'It just doesn't feel right with everything that's going on with my dad.' Sarah buried her head in her hands, her shoulders bounced uncontrollably as she sobbed into them.

'Hey' Zander stood up and pulled her into his body, kissed her head.

'It's ok, I didn't mean to make you feel forced. Come on, sit down.'

Zander hugged her until she calmed and offered her some water, he brushed his fingers through her hair and behind her ears. He stroked her face while Sarah took small sips of her water and when she was calm, Sarah began to explain.

'My dad might not be the same again. The doctors think he has brain damage, his memory's short term and he can't remember the accident or anything before it.' Feeling her voice begin to break again, Sarah stopped herself and took a breath as she swallowed hard.

'I can get you something stronger if you like.' Zander suggested as Sarah took another composed sip of water, followed by one huge gulp.

'No, it's fine' she lobbed the plastic cup on the floor and leaned her back into the couch again.

'Now, where were we?'

She threw her arms around Zander's shoulders and pulled him on top of her, shoving her tongue inside his mouth and wrestling with his own. Her body forced itself further into Zander's and his erection, poking just below his waistline made her wetter.

'Are you sure about this?' his trousers and boxer shorts were already coming off before he had even completed the question.

'Positive' Sarah clarified.

She leaned forward and pulled Zander's head in her direction and kissed his lips long and passionately. Zander wrapped his hands around her back and gently prodded his fingers against her skin until he found the spot. Sarah groaned into his mouth and collapsed against him.

'I take it I've found it then?' he questioned with gloating pride.
