She looked at her phone every 2 seconds. No reply.
She had called him too many times to count.
He'd been gone for days. Enough for him to have forgotten about her. And it seems that was just what he did, forgot about his best-friend.
She pulled up her contacts, dialling his number once again. One ring. Two. Three. Four. Five.
"Hey! Sunoo speaking."
"Just kidding, leave a voicemail after the sound."
Her head dropped, no matter how many times she had heard his voicemail message, she would always fall for it.
BEEP!
She held her phone sideways as she kept her head down. "You've just been gone for so long, and things are happening to me. I'm not joking, okay. I know things are different between us, but this might be the last time you see me. It--it's hard to explain over the phone. Please just--please just come back, okay? We didn't even get to say bye."
She laid back on her bed. Maybe it would all stop if she slept, maybe it wouldn't, but at least she could escape for awhile.
