You know about the bad timing when two people were struggling in a situation they are wrapped into and suddenly, unexpectedly, also uninvited, the third person brings their presence in the little screen shared by those two people and interpret something else.

Yeah, bad timing.

"Are we supposed to come tomorrow since... um, you guys are probably going to..." Meredith muttered hesitantly, gesturing to us still hugging each other.

I blinked, taking in the presence of more than one person in my house that weren't thieves. Good thing.

I pushed Noah away from me, reluctantly. He lost his balance to the unprepared push I gave him and fell off the bed.

"Hey... how did you guys get in? I'm pretty sure the door was locked." I smiled, speaking through my forced smile and behaving like that just didn't happen.

The hug. It was well... welcoming but I still don't like Noah because I don't know him. And it could be 'cause of the weather that the hug felt warm.

Wait... hugs are supposed to feel warm. What a dumbhead I am.

"Millie, my dear sometimes forgetful best friend, you never locked the door," Hailey said, hopping on my bed. "Oh! We found the guys for you."

I arched a brow at her, twisting my neck to look questioningly at them. "Lucas, Oliver." I frowned, turning my attention towards Hailey, "Wait, you guys had their contacts?"

She nodded, Meredith, joining her beside. I gasped, "Why didn't you tell me!?"

"We wanted you to learn your mistake," Meredith answered.

Hailey faked a cough, shaking her head. "It's because we forgot."

I scoffed, "And you call me forgetful. We share the same trait so next time don't call me that."

They shrugged, chilling on my bed that is where I should be laying on rather than their dirty unhygienic selves.

"Did you wash your hands after coming in?" I asked them, squinting.

"Nope." Hailey replied, emphasizing the 'p' sound popping.

I gasped, pushing them off the bed. "Go wash it and stop getting my bed dirty, you nasty little rats."

Hailey and Meredith glanced at each other before bursting into a fit of laughter. Lucas and Oliver, pretty much startled at the sudden reaction, were gazing at them as if they got possessed.

Oh! It's their laughs that made them cross-check again if they were some normal humans.

"You're the one who's telling that? Did you forget how dirty you live like?" Hailey said, recovering from her mocking laugh.

I huffed, "I am a very neat person, excuse you."

"Are you?" Noah asked, staring at my closet that he decided to explore while I had a Q&A with my best friends.

Realization splashed at me as I rushed to my closet doors and slammed them shut, blocking his was of access to it.

I stood in front of him, before the doors. "I... was gonna... clean it." I stammered.

"Was gonna?" Hailey chuckled, hopping off the bed.

Noah interestingly peered into their upcoming bomb of my unhealthy life.

"It's been like that for almost a year now. Just two more months to go and it will be a year." Hailey laughed, spilling the embarrassing stories like any sibling would do because why not?

"Don't worry, we'll hold an anniversary for it." Noah patted my shoulder, joining in their enjoyment.

I gasped, horridly staring at him for mocking me. Wanting to take revenge on everyone since the room was filled with nothing but unwanted noise pollution of their laughs, I chose to go with whoever was near me.

Sadly, Noah was but glad that I took my revenge since he's been nothing nicer once he got married to me. Excluding the part where he saved me from the glass shards.

I raised my leg and stomped on his foot, causing a shrill yelp escape from his mouth.

"Why would you do that!?" He said through his gritted teeth, widening his eyes in pain.

"You deserved it, Hubby." I patted his shoulder, just like how he did it a few minutes ago.

Now, the tables were turned and the rest of them were laughing at him.

"She just burned you, brother." Oliver laughed out, squeaking out his words barely.

"I like her. Best sister-in-law." Lucas grinned, raising his fist bump for me to bump it against it.

I rolled my eyes, before giving a share of glare and ignorance as I walked out of my room.

"I don't like her now," Lucas muttered, telling it to the people still present in my room.

I stood by the door frame, whirling around. "Alright. Everybody out of my room before one of you decides to explore it or tell one of the embarrassing stories that nobody is interested to listen."

"I am interested. It's good a way to know who's my wife and how is she like, right?" He smirked, cockiness invading in his body.

"Ooooohhh." Hailey expressed in joy.

"No, no." I denied, narrowing my gaze at him. "Nobody is going to tell you about me because we are getting a divorce."

"Divorce?!" Everyone shouted, excluding me and Noah.

"Yeah... what, why?" I asked, frowning at their reaction.

Shouldn't they be happy that we can fix this mess easily? Especially my best friends, who should be supporting me right now.

"I don't think you'll get a divorce so easily..." Lucas uttered, silence dropping after he spoke.

"Maybe you can talk to your lawyer about this," Oliver suggested to Noah.

"No!" Noah yelled, startling us from our daze.

Or just me who was secretly admiring his beauty 'cause why not? I have a valid reason to do that and which is, I'm his wife.

Nothing illegal.

"Why not? It could help us to get past through the rules and all, I guess." I said after snapping out from ogling him.

Meredith and Hailey walked over to my side, nudging me with their 'know-it-all' looks.

"That's not how it works." Noah smacked his friend's head who was giving him looks that I'm pretty sure we're the same as my friends.

"Aren't you rich to make it work?" I asked, glaring at my friends who weren't stopping with their little provoking giggles.

"I'm not the government to make new rules or alter the old one. I'm only rich." He huffed, "and handsome."

I rolled my eyes, "and nobody cares about that."
