Chapter 12

Sanket Pov

After sometime the party was over and aashna told me to stay behind for sometime.  I told her I need to go  back home but she pleaded and I couldn't say no to her. So I stayed back for sometime. All the guests left but that abhi was not ready to leave only.  I was feeling uncomfortable and so was aashna well I felt that.

After sometime aashna started opening her gifts and when she opened my gift she was surprised to find her favourite handbag that she wanted since such a long time but was not able to get it because of unavailability. She hugged me tightly and said thank you so much and said you dont need to thank me I am happy that you liked it. She said I loved it.  

After sometime we bid our goodbyes and went home. After reaching home I changed and was lying on my bed thinking about today and I didnt realise when I fell asleep. 

Aashna Pov 

I was just doing some work on my Laptop when my phone buzzed and it was from Abhi I answered his call and told me get ready in ten minutes we have to go somewhere. I asked but where he said we have to go to Taj hotel now dont ask me the reason can't tell you that as  it is a surprise  for you, II said okay. I quickly got ready did light makeup and left my hair loose. I was coming down when abhi texted me waiting for you outside your house come down I quickly typed coming. 

As soon as I got into the car he complimented me you look beautiful I said thanks. After few minutes my phone again bussed and this time it was sanku. i answered his call and he said

S:- hey beautiful

A:-  hey handsome

S:- what you doing?

A:- going to Taj with abhi he has some surprise planned for me.   

S:- oh okay you guys enjoy I will call you tomorrow

A:- yeah bye

S:- bye

When I ended my call with him Abhi asked me rather in a pissed tone who was it? Sanku, I replied casually.  He didn't say much about it then and finally we reached Taj. When we got down from the car He blindfolded me and I asked what are you doing? But he said shh just come with me. Then he entwined his hands with mine and we started walking. After what felt like ages he stopped and said now I am going to open your blindfold and hope you will like what you are going to see. He removed my blindfold and I saw that we were inside some banquet hall which was decorated with red and white balloons. 

Before I could say anything he held my hand and went down on his knees and said aashna I love you I freaking love you. I did from quite some time but could never gather the guts to tell you. But today I want to tell you that you are my dream girl and I can do anything for you.  Will you be mine.

I was awestruck and couldn't say anything for few minutes. After sometime I found my voice and I said Um abhi but I have never saw you in that way. You have always been my best friend and yes I love you but as a friend and not romantically. I said this with lot of guilt in my eyes as I knew I was breaking his heart by saying this. 

He got up and said its ok aash You dont have to sound guilty, its completely ok if you see me as your best friend only. I still feel myself very lucky to have you as my friend. I nodded and hugged him tightly.

He then said can I ask you something I said yes he said do you love sanket and I nodded and blushed I said yes I love him so why dont you confess he said I said I will soon he smile and then after sometime we left from there and he dropped me hope. We didn't talk much through the drive just bid our good byes when we reached my house.
