Jaehyun P.O.V.

*Chemistry- 1st period*
She's not here again! I sighed internally as I sat down at our desk, feeling a bit empty without her presence. She's just fun to be around, I don't like her like that, I thought trying to come up with a valid reason for my feelings. I couldn't help but worry about how she's doing. I heard some police sirens last night and the sound of glass breaking, I hope she's okay. I slumped down on my desk, putting my head on the desk and took a deep breath to ease my nerves. I sat up again and decided to focus on my class, before I get called on again.

Wait...Ms. Taeyeon is also Mira's coach, maybe she knows where she is.

And with that, I perked up a little bit, hopeful.

"Ok class get in groups of three for our mini project" the teacher clapped her hands together excitedly. Immediately, Johnny and Lucas came and sat at my table.

"Damn, look at how pathetic he looks" Johnny cackled at my face. "What's on your mind Jae?" Lucas question with a very confused expression on his face.

"Don't come at me but I'm actually worried about where Mira is" I let it out, running my hands through my hair. Johnny stopped laughing and looked very serious. He had to know something, he knows everything.

"Well I don't know about Mira but I know that last night Taeyong's father was arrested. Knowing how they're really close, Mira's probably staying home with him." He explained. My mouth dropped open.

"What was he arrested for?"

"He got really drunk and beat Taeyong really badly. Pretty sure he's gonna be gone in jail for a while and Taeyong probably had nowhere to go to." Johnny shrugged as if it was nothing. This was news to me, the name sounded familiar to me but I couldn't put my finger on it. So the reason why Mira wasn't here was because she's nursing a beaten kid. Mira never missed a day of school so it was probably really bad. My heart warmed at her kindness. Damn.

"Oh well then. Let's just get started with this project." Lucas said opening his computer. The rest of us began to focus as well, pushing Mira out of my mind once again to do my work.

*Lunch*
I walked towards the cafeteria with anger running through my veins. Today during gym, we had a substitute teacher who would not shut up. Like we know how to do the exercises so get out my fucking face. I walked up to the lunch line and grabbed a prepared plate. I noticed a couple kids flinching when they realized I was there. I sat down at my table, some of my food flying out.

"What crawled up your ass?" Mark asked, laughing at the food that ended up on Yuta's face.

"Mr. Seon" I grunted, digging into my food, trying to ignore all the couples around me. Mark was unfortunately wedged between Yuta and Jungwoo, the love triangle drama continuing. To my left was Ten and Lucas who were giggling together softly. I'm pretty sure they're all set. To my right was Xiaojun and his girlfriend of the week, as well as Kai with his girlfriend of the day. I rolled my eyes as I realized I was friends with a bunch of lovesick idiots. Except for Johnny who sits with the basketball boys instead of our close friends.

I felt a tap on my shoulder and turned around. The girl from the showers was standing there looking rather upset. I swallowed my food and just looked at her. Everyone at my table also questioning why she was there. She rolled her eyes and grabbed my arm, pulling me from my table and into a small hallway that connected the two buildings together. She spun around and faced me.

"You lied" she stated simply. I looked at her blankly, trying to remember her name. "About having a girlfriend"

"Well I had to do what I had to do to get you out of there" I explained to her. The mad expression faded away and guilt took its place.

"I- well sorry about that, I wasn't really thinking. Let me do this the right way. My name is Jennie and I want to get to know you better." She fluttered her eyelashes and flashed me a small smile. Honestly, if she didn't try so hard she would be cute. But she might be useful later so I could put up with her until then. I smiled back at her and nodded.

"I'm Jaehyun." I checked her out, she was awfully small. And to be honest, she seems more Kai's type than mine. He loves cute girls. She giggled.

"I already know, are you free anytime soon?" She looked up at me then back down at the floor.

"Well I don't know but how about I have your number to tell you when I am?" I ran a hand through my hand and showed my dimples off. She actually laughed out loud this time.

"Wow, that was smooth" she exclaimed and pulled out her phone.

After exchanging phone numbers I went back to my table where my friends all looked like meerkats waiting for the tea. I sat down and didn't even get to open my mouth before Mark demanded to be let in on what happened. I explained what happened excluding the detail where she touched my dick. Some chuckles broke out in the crowd.

"Damn, Jae, you're evil for that" Jungwoo pouted. I laughed and just shrugged my shoulders. The bell rang and I went to my next class, wondering when I'll see Mira again.

Mira P.O.V.
