The empire advanced towards the kingdom capital. Dimitri brought Byleth and Dedue with him while he led the kingdom army and the knights out of the kingdom capital and the empire was intercepted at the Tailtean Plains. There, after a long battle between the kingdom army and the imperial army, Dimitri finally kills Edelgard and ends the war at long last. Before the knights finally returned to the monastery and chased the imperial soldiers out of the church, Dimitri told Rhea he would never hand Byleth over to the church. He finally married her the following year. The end.
