Celia's demand was for Strand to leave and for us to stay. So here you were, with Alicia, waving him goodbye. You didn't feel right about this, he was the one who helped your entire group. Now he had to fend for himself.

You sighed as you and Alicia started walking back towards the house. It was a quiet walk before you guys heard a loud crash. Your eyes widened as you saw Celia's estate in flames. "Oh no," Alicia muttered as she ran to Ofelia, who was about to run into the fire for her father.

We made our way over to Madison as a truck pulled up. "Get in, we have to leave," it was Strand, urging us to get in the truck. You all noticed a figure walking, Nick.

"Nick!" you exclaimed, feeling a hand pull you back. "Let my mom handle it," Alicia whispered. You nodded and climbed in the bed of the truck. You just wanted him next to you, safe.

The slight smile you had on your face disappeared once Madison started walking back, without Nick. "He's staying," she said. Before the truck could move, you jumped out. You heard your name being yelled, but you didn't care.

"Nick, please," you grabbed his hand. "I love you, now go," he said and started walking towards the dead. You quickly pulled him back, the calls for your name were getting louder. "If you're not leaving then I'm staying," you demanded.

That grabbed his full attention like you hoped it would. He brought his hands up and caressed your face, "You're better than that, than me, Y/n," he kissed your cheek. You shook your head, "No."

You turned to the truck, waving bye. "Y/n," Nick sighed. You quickly went to a dead infected on the ground and cut it open, wiping its insides on yourself. You kinda wanted to throw up, gagging slightly.

"If this is what I have to do to be with the love of my life," you grabbed Nick's hand, "so be it."
