It was a dim day. The sky was grayish, and there was a fading smell of the dirt. I was sitting on the porch, staring at the ground. I was wearing a black dress, not that I wanted to, but because it was for Sarah's funeral. The cement was cold. My butt felt cold as well. I had to atleast light up 4 cigarettes as I sat here. I've only been sitting here for about 20 minutes or so.

*10 minutes pass* I saw a black car coming from down the street. It had pulled into my driveway. The person that came out was wearing a black tuxedo, with shades on. He came up to me. It was sammy. He saw me a mess. He picked me up like I was a baby, needing comfort. He didn't speak, nor did I. He opened the passenger side door and he gently put me in the seat. He stood there. He bent down to my height. "Hannah, talk to me." He said. My house was in front of the car, so all I really stared at was the house. I saw him in the corner of my eye. He stared at me and bit the right side of his lip. He blinked twice real fast and put his head down. He grabbed my hands and kept them warm.

For a second my mind went completely blank. A guy like sam never cared as much as he did. I wasn't even expecting him to come here. Just to pick me up and see my dead best friend. He got up and was about to shut the door. I yelled "wait!". "Ahh she finally speaked." Smiled sammy. He made me smile. "So now you're blushing too?" Questioned sam. I got out of the car and stood in front of sam. We stared in eachothers eyes. I got lost in his, and I'm pretty sure he got lost in mine too. He put his hands on my cheeks, and his bright pink lips came towards mine. We kissed for about 10 seconds. I caught my breath. I fell inlove. I felt kind of bad for falling in love with a guy, when my friends funeral is today. He smiled and told me to get in the car. He got in too.

We were driving out of my driveway. Making our way to the funeral. We caught a red light. He looked over to me, "are you sure you want to go?" Asked sammy. "Of course I do, this is my last goodbye to Sarah." He made a tiny smile that faded away quickly. We pulled up. There were hardly any parking spaces available. We finally found one. He got out, and opened my door. He reached his hand towards mine. We walked in the gate.

The cemetery ran some chilly feelings down my back. I felt as if we were all disrupting the peace. I couldn't believe that I had to go through this. Losing one of my only friends. My only true friend. We walked up to see a beautiful casket. It was a nice beige color, it had bright flowers in the middle. There were all sorts of flowers laying on it.

"... There were many great memories we have had with our daughter." Sarah's mother had said. But only a few people knew our daughter more than we did. They also felt like children to us. I would like her few friends to come up and share some great memories. Smiled Sarah's mom. Tears ran down her eyes, she tried to smile but it just didn't work out for her. Her father came up, "can hannah, zoey, and alyssa please come up?" I looked up at sammy. He smiled and said "go." How he said it was very faint. I let go of his warm soft hand. I walked with zo and lyss. There we were, standing in front of hundreds of people. Wow I thought to myself, I didn't know so many people loved the shit out of this girl.

I felt like the president, standing in front of people and making a speech. " I smiled. "Hi everyone, I'm hannah. I'm one of Sarah's best, well you could say sister. People laughed, some made smiles while tears raced down their faces. Sarah was one of the best people that have ever walked into my life. I remember the day we met. I smiled and looked down. We uhh- we met at the park. We had to be atleast 8 years old or so." I looked up trying to keep my tears from falling. I looked back into the crowd. "Me and Sarah were fighting over who can go down the slide first. And I kept yelling at her and saying I'm going first! Sarah was the most chilliest person I have ever known. She didn't fight or yell back. She just said then go.! And smiled. So we went down the slide.. And ever since then, I have wanted to be her friend." I had stood there, bursting into tears. I looked down and held my face. "I miss her so much" I said. I couldn't hardly say it either. I sounded like someone who was eating with their mouths full. Sammy speed walked up to the stage, he came to comfort me in his arms. The elders that were there said aww and smiled. I pointed to Zoey and Alyssa to speak. I told them, "you guys go, I can't do this.. I have to go now." They smiled while tears ran down their faces.
