Tsukishima stood in front of a huge industrial building. The walls were made from grey solid bricks with a few small noticeable black windows. Beyond the building was an open field with green grass and in the middle of the building stood a tall prison tower to keep a lookout for any escapees. Among the perimeter of the area, a large tall razor wire fence was surrounded to prevent passage. It was eerily quiet.
"Oi, quit dawdling!" One of the police officers yelled as the other pushed Tsukishima forward, urging him to continue walking. With a heavy sigh, Tsukishima dragged his feet forward and entered the facility. It was dark and cold with its only light source coming from the spotlights on the ceiling. They strode down the narrow hallway with each footstep echoed throughout the empty space. They then faced a black metal door at the end of the hallway. The officer stepped forward to knock on the door before opening it.
Beyond the door stood three handsome men. They were dressed in smart dark blue uniforms with badges pinned on their breast pockets, firm peaked caps with its prison logo at the centre and well-polished black boots.
"Well, well, looks like we have another newcomer."
Tsukishima looked up to the ominous voice. Among the three standing individuals, a tall man with messy black hair spoke. His narrow, hazel eyes stared at the nervous blond man. A name tag was sewn to the fabric of the uniform. Tsukishima squinted his eyes to read the name tag - Kuroo Tetsurou.
"Thank you for your good work. We will take it from here." A man with soft brunette hair and dark brown eyes stated. The man stood in the centre, between the messy raven-haired guy and a muscular man with spiky white-grey hair and black streaks.
With that command, the two earlier police officers bowed their head and took their leave. Leaving behind Tsukishima alone with the three mysterious men.
"So, Tsukishima Kei right?" The brunette spoke as he shifted his eyes from the clipboard on his hand to the man in front of him.
"Y-yes."
"Hmm, a 23 years old man working as an Accountant in Karasuno Pte Ltd but got involved in a gang fight. Which then results in 2 years sentenced in prison."
"Wow, what a way to blow your life away glasses-kun." Kuroo chuckled as he leaned towards the other officer to look at the details on the clipboard.
Tsukishima took a sharp inhale and clenched his fist tightly. He knew he wasn't at fault. He wasn't in a gang and the fight was not started by him. He knew it all, yet he couldn't prove his innocence. It was frustrating and the last thing he needed was someone to rub salt onto his wounds.
"I did not do such a thing! The man punched me first and his gang rounded up on me! A ROOSTER HAIR LIKE YOU WOULD NOT KNOW THAT. I AM INNOCENCE!!" Tsukishima shouted.
Silence filled the air after the sudden outburst. When Tsukishima regained his composure, he realized his mistake. He looked at the men who stared back at him with shocked wide eyes. Neither of them spoke as tension radiated. He could feel his hands shake in fear and cold sweat starting to form. The silence was soon broken when one of them spoke.
"How brazen. Y'know, no matter what you say or do, your punishment has already been decided. Whether you like it or not, you are going to be stuck here for 2 years." Kuroo said with his arms crossed and head tilted slightly upwards. His previous laughing face was replaced with a serious frown.
Tsukishima's legs wobbled before he fell to his knees. The colours on his face drained and he began to tremble as the harsh words repeated in his mind. He had to accept that this was his reality, no matter how much he hated it.
"Now that you have accepted your fate, we will move on to the important details." The brunette sternly spoke.
"Nekoma Prison is a highly secured facility with over hundreds of guards. So don't even think about escaping. Each prisoner will be assigned to one officer who will supervise you 24/7. What you do, where you go or what you eat will all be monitored by your officer. Should you be caught doing or taking back unauthorized objects to your cell, your officer will have the rights to conduct punishment that will deem fit."
W-what the hell? 24/7 supervision??
"With that said, Tsukishima Kei also known as Prisoner 011, you will be attached to Officer Kuroo Tetsurou."
Tsukishima widened his eyes as he stared dumbfounded as the brunette man explained. He was at a loss for words. He was starting to get dizzy as he let the long explanation sank into his brain. He knew his life in prison was going to be hell, but to make it even worse was to be attached to the officer he had just insulted. Tsukishima slowly averted his eyes to the said man who was walking towards him, before kneeling down on one knee. Kuroo grabbed Tsukishima by the chin and smirked as he observed the trembling young blonde.
"Don't worry, I'll make sure you are well taken care of."
