The Thrilling Adventures of Snek

4 ~ Meeting Ricardo

Snek was afraid. The end of the world was coming and he had no idea how to stop it. 

Maybe the end won't be too bad, earth sucks anyways, who would miss it if it was gone? 

Suddenly the weird picture box starts glitching and a new image begins playing. It was the creature who looks like Snek. 

"Greetings weak mortals, tis I, Ricardo. You shall follow me or face the dire consequences." 

"Oh damn." Snek says. 

"Dire consequences?" Human questions. 

"If anyone tries to stop me," Ricardo continues. "I will end them." 

"I need to stop him." Snek says and Human looks at him as if he's crazy. 

"Did you not hear what he just said?!" He exclaims. 

"If anyone has a chance of stopping him, it's me." Snek argues. "It's the only way to save the world." 

"But you could die." 

"Bold of you to assume I can die." 

Human sighs. "Are you sure about this?" 

"It's the only way." 

So Snek, accompanied by Human, went out to find Ricardo and end his villainous plans. 

And he wasn't too hard to find since he had already built a huge tower with a statue of himself on top. Snek and Human cautiously approach the tower, feeling more and more anxious as to what was coming. 

Snek heard Ricardo talking loudly in a room. 

"Human, you stay here, I don't want you getting hurt." Snek says to Human. 

"I want to help." 

"No, it is too dangerous, he could hurt you, or worse." 

"Expel me." Human says and Snek gives him a confused look. "Sorry, I watched Harry Potter last night." 

"What is-?" Snek starts but stops himself. "Never mind, there is more important things happening. Just stay here." 

Snek, using his godly powers teleports to Ricardo. 

"Hello brother." Ricardo says upon seeing Snek. 

"You aren't my brother." Snek says. 

"Oh but I am," Ricardo says. "Have you come to join me? We could rule the world together." 

"No, I'm here to stop you." Snek says. "What you are doing is wrong, these people have done nothing to you." 

"I did guess you'd try to stop me, but you won't." 

"And why not?" Snek asks. "You can't hurt me." 

"That is true," Ricardo says, and a huge screen turns on behind him showing Human tied up in a chair, looking frightened. "But I can hurt him." 

"NO!" Snek yells. 

"I said there would be dire consequences for anyone who tries to stop me, now you have two choices, stay with me and we can rule together, or fight me and the human pays the price." 

Snek didn't know what to do. He couldn't rule the world with this villain, but he also couldn't let Human get hurt. 

"Time is ticking, brother," Ricardo says. "You must decide." 

"Let Human go," Snek says. "He has done nothing wrong." 

"Only if you join me." 

"I will never join you." Snek says bravely. 

"Then the human stays with me." Ricardo says. "Goodbye Snek." 

Ricardo uses his powers to teleport Snek away. 

Snek looks around, he didn't know where he was. It was a dark, empty abyss. There was nobody around. Just Snek, alone with his thoughts. 
He was scared again. 

What if something happens to Human? Snek couldn't let Ricardo get away with what he's done. 

There has to be a way back. 

Snek tries to teleport but feels as though his powers are drained. 

He tries and tries but doesn't succeed. 

He gives up for a moment, just laying down and staring off into space. 

What's the point? Snek thinks to himself, There's no way I could defeat Ricardo. 

But then Snek begins thinking about Human, he can't just leave him with Ricardo. 

He has to do something. 

Snek gets up again and continues trying to teleport back to Earth. 

He tries and he tries, until eventually, he succeeds...
