"Wake up, Leyra." Naririnig ko ang isang malamig na boses na pilit akong ginigising, ramdam ko rin ang mga haplos ng kamay niya sa mga buhok ko. I slowly opened my eyes. The shadow of a man I've seen sitting beside me is still blurry.
"Klio?" I whispered. I heard him sigh.
"It's Krio, Leyra." Nagising ang diwa ko ng malaman na ibang lalaki pala ang nasa tabi ko. Napatingin ako sa paligid, nasa isang kwarto ako. Dahan-dahan akong bumangon.
"Sorry? Who are you again?" He immediately grabbed something in a cabinet, by the way I can identify some things, but it depends on my brain's capacity. I notice that he grabbed some photos and he showed me a photo of him...and, this place.
"Okay, I get it now," I said to him.
"What are you doing here anyway? Basta-basta ka na lang pumapasok sa kwarto without permission or even just knocking? What if I'm accidentally sleeping naked huh?" Naiirita kong bulyaw sa kanya. He rolled his eyes. Ay ang taray dinaig pa ako!
"Don't worry, I'm not that person to take advantage of your naked body. I have a big respect for ladies and their bodies," he said. Oh okay, I'm a little bit impressed, let me impress more.
"And besides I knocked the door 10 times but you're so sleepyhead. So, I decided to enter your room without your permission...kasi nga naman in the first place tulog ka, so paano ako magpapaalam sayo?" pamimilosopo nito.
Okay, minus 1 ka do'n. Galing magpalusot ah!
"You should just let me sleep then! You just ruined my beauty rest," I exclaimed and crossed my arms out of annoyance.
"You don't need that beauty rest. You're already beautiful," he said at napatingin ako sa kanya. Shocks! plus 1 ulit.
"I know, duh." I rolled my eyes.
"And...I was worried," he added.
"Worried for what?" tanong ko sa kanya habang nakakunot ang noo. Naiinis pa rin ako sa pag gising niya sa'kin.
"Baka kung ano na ang nangyari sayo. That's why I entered your room. Apologies for that," paghingi ng paumanhin nito at mukhang seryoso naman siya.
"Okay. " 'yon lang nasabi ko sa kanya at nagsimula nang mag ayos nang sarili.
"But, if you don't mind. I want to show something interesting to you," sabi niya.
"What is it?" I curiously asked him. Lumakad siya papunta sa pintuan
"After you finish fixing yourself. Let's talk about it downstairs while having some breakfast," wika nito at bumaba na.
Naligo na muna ako. Pagkatapos no'n, nag ayos na ako nang sarili ko at bumaba na rin matapos ang ilang minuto. I bring my notes, photos and camera with me. I also have my wristwatch. Pagkababa ko dumiretso na ako sa dining room and I saw Krio and Sadi talking to each other, they're smiling at each other. I don't know but why did a sudden pain hit my chest?
