Gone To Soon

Jessica wakes up in a pool of sweat
Her heart racing
Her head throbbing and her throat so numb no words surfaced
She begins to look around trying to identify her location with no luck
There was a dim light in the middle of the room that revealed a table filled with different surgical tools
The only other objects in the room were the bed that she lied on and the metal walls that were sound proof
She gets up feeling instantly dizzy
She falls back on the bed holding her head feeling like she's stuck in a horrible nightmare
Jessica tried standing on her feet more slowly this time 
Inch by inch she makes her way past the table and and around the room
But there was nothing
No widow No holes or cracks No chance of escape
A loud thud interrupts the silence
Jessica looks up as she begins to hear foot steps
She begins to pray hoping that god would protect her in this situation but deep down inside she knew she had been caught by the devil
The foot steps continue until they reach the center of the room
Jessica noticed some light peaking in  diagonally across the room
She looks a little closer and notices a small black nob
Suddenly filled with hope and adrenaline she sprints toward the door only to be yanked back by the chain on her ankle that she hadn't noticed before
She pulls at the chain with no luck
She collapses on the ground in frustration and cries
She cried what felt like an entire ocean of tears
How could this happen to me she thought to herself
I do everything I'm supposed to do

Perfect record
This shouldn't be happening to me
The walls felt like they were caving in
It became more difficult to breathe
I can't do this she thinks to herself
Jessica had seen enough crime shows to know that the likelihood of her being found weren't very high
The hopeless thoughts began to flood her mind like a hurricane over a small town
What will happen once he gets back
I can't escape
I'll never see my family again
Someone please help me

The foot steps start back up creaking the floor and breaks Jessica's daze
She looks at the table in the center of the room and knows what must be done
She wipes her tears makes her way to the table and then to the bed
At first she hesitated but took a deep breath and braced herself for the finally decision she'd ever make
She then whispered to herself "I'm so sorry mom "
Fifteen minutes later the abductor finally makes his way to the lair of the basement where Jessica was being held
"You hungry"
no response
"Did you hear me" he says as he enters the room
He discovers the body of good girl gone to soon
