Erica's Point Of View

We sat down and waited ten minutes after Zoe came back claiming that Lily is no where to be found before my mother said, "Erica, dear, could you go fetch your sister?"

"Of course" I stood up and walked off.

When I got to Lily's room I went up to Mason's room where I knew I would find her. She sat on his bed. Her back was to me. I walked up and sat next to her.

   "I'm sorry."

"No. I am the one who is sorry. I shouldn't have told you not to call him Mase. I guess I wish he would have spent more time with Trixie and I. He really loved you."

"Well he doesn't anymore and..." she trailed off and laid her head on my shoulder.

"It's okay, it's okay" I rubbed her back and repeated those words over and over.

She stood up and walked away.

   "Lily..."

A few minutes later she says, "We both know why he hates us so much. I made him look like a fool. He cared to much. He loved Bella and didn't want us messing up his relationship with her."

   "It wasn't your fault"

"Yeah, it was. I was the one who got in the way" She runs off before I could say anything else.

Lily's point of view

I ran. I ran downstairs and passed everyone downstairs. I ran outside and I ran down the street. I ran all the way until I got to the front of the neighborhood. It was at this point where I stopped. I looked both ways. If I went left I would stop at the park, where I know many good hiding spots. Right would lead me to the soccer and baseball/softball fields, they were always crawling with people because of practices and games. I do know that if I go straight I will go towards the middle school, most likely crawling with kids my age.

I decided that the best option would to go to the park, so I ran. I ran down the street and didn't stop until I got to the park, which only took about a minute before I ran into a tall man. He was completely normal all the way around, except he was wearing. a tank top and basketball shorts. "sorry" I muttered and walked around him before I took off running again.

I thought it over and remembered that the basketball hoops are in the directing he was heading, but most people change into a tank top and basketball shorts once they got inside. I pushed it to the back of my head as I arrived at the park.

I risked a glance over my shoulder, only a girl who looked to be 17 with 8 elementary school boys and girls. She was balancing a baby girl on her left hip and kept looking over to the other side of the park, where a young man her age was sitting, I remember him as Liam, was watching his little sister play on the playground. A woman with a boy who looked to be in about second grade had tired eyes and kept saying "Come on Jason, we have to go home now" Jason ignored her, and continued playing. I shook my head at this, knowing that when I was his age that kind of behavior wasn't tolerated. There were lots of other people, varied in size, age, and color.

I ran through the park and didn't look back till I was safely surrounded by trees. From there I climbed one of the trees with branches just low enough for me to climb on and looked through the trees to the park. After carefully surveying everyone in the park I decided it was safe to continue my journey.

I climbed down and walked through the woods, searching for the spot my brother and I claimed as our own.

Mike's Point of View

I saw Lily run through, and wondered where she was going, but her mother didn't seem to think anything of her running out so I dropped it. It was a little quiet for my liking, but maybe that is the way the Hale's are. Erica and Lily certainly are the kind of people who would rather quiet than chit-chat.

Turning to Ben I ask, "Have you got any dilemmas?" he shakes his head in return, obviously not seeing that I wanted the quiet to die.

He looked over at me and saw the pleading look in my eyes and said, "Math quiz?"

"Sure" I reply. Zoe looks at us like we are weirdos, which I guess we kind of are. I mean, we are training to be spies, that's weird on normal standards. "56,789 times 30,947"

   "1,850,290,183"

   "182,374 times 53,905"

   "9,830,870,470"

   "78.159 divided by 67.93"

   "1.15058148094"

Zoe, who finally understands, blurts out "I understand now. Mike says a question and Ben answers. Is it some kind of game, or something you guys made up before spy school as a way to make Ben look uncool because he did that on his own." We both turned to Zoe, our jaws open in surprise. She notices this of course and says, "You don't think I know things because I am a girl? I know more than you both. Try me, I dare you. I will beat you so bad it'll hurt." She stands and walks out of the house. After the door closes I look over at Ben, who is still as surprised as I am, if not more.
