Childhood Besties or more?

Chapter 4

As we stepped out of the train I took the whole view in, I'm pretty sure my smile was stretched all the way across my face. The castle was completely lit up and looked so magical.

"First Years this way!" A huge man shouted through the crowd.

"Is that a giant?" I asked Draco

"No I don't think so," He tells me while laughing at me because we all know I'm not always the smartest one.

We all laughed and walked over to the group of what seems to be the first years by the man.

"Alrighty first yers, follow me to the boats"

"Boats, why can't we go with the rest of the students?"

"I don't know Pansy, it's not like we really have a choice," I say as I started walking after the group.

The boats were lined up on the dock and it was three-five to a boat so I, Pansy, Draco, Crabbe, and Goyle hopped into one. The boats started moving by themselves when we all got in. There was a singular light hung up to the front of each boat and as we made our way across the lake all I was paying attention to was the huge castle. It was lit up and looked spectacular.

"Guys that our new home"

"Yeah yeah Karina"

"Oh my gosh Draco shut up and look at it, it's gorgeous"

As we got off the boats I noticed the same boy that I and Draco saw at Madam Malkin's shop. Draco saw me looking at him, "Apparently that's Harry Potter"

"What?! He's finally come to Hogwarts, and in our grade?"

"I guess so wheel see if he becomes an ally"

We were waiting in the hallway on the stairs waiting to be let into the Great Hall to be sorted. I already know what house I'm going to be in but I still was worried that my hair looked out of place or I would embarrass myself. I hadn't noticed that Draco had decided to talk to the famous Harry Potter.

"You'll soon find out that some wizarding families are better than others, Potter. You don't wanna go making friends with the wrong sort."

"I'm Malfoy, this is Crabbe, Goyle, and Kari-"

"I can introduce myself Draco. My name is Karina Vritra and I don't know what Malfoy's told you but we think that you would make a great addition to our crew. As long as you are in Slytherin" I winked at him.

"I think I can tell the wrong sort for myself, thanks"

He said coldly

"Well rude whatever," I said under my breath as I walked away.

When Professor McGonagall came back everyone shut up and she led us into the Great Hall. At the front of the Hall, there was a chair with a singular hat on it. "When I call your name you will put on the hat and sit on the stool to be sorted"

As she called multiple people's names one made the whole hall go silent and I already knew who.

"Harry Potter"

He walked up awkwardly and sat down on the stool as the sorting hat did its job. It seemed like he was up there for quite some time and Harry was talking to it.

"What is he saying?" Draco asked me

"I don't know, I can't hear"

After a while, the sorting hat shouted out "Gryffindor"

"Damn it" Draco swore to himself

"Well, I guess he won't be a part of our group then" I replied laughing.

After some more people got sorted including Draco, Pansy, Crabbe, and Goyle the sorting hat called out my name.

"Karina Vritra"

I confidently threw a perfect curl behind my shoulder and headed up the stairs. I sat down on the stool and crossed my legs like a proper lady and waited for McGonagall to put the hat on my head.

"Ahhh another Vritra I know just where you belong, SLYTHERIN"

I smiled at everyone and walked over to my table. I sat down in between Draco and Pansy who had left a spot for me.

"The whole crew in Slytherin just as we planned, let the fun begin"

After the feast, we were led down to the dungeons also known as the Slytherin common room. The password we were told was "dark lake" and apparently it changes every year. As we walked into the common room the whole atmosphere changed into a royal dark feel. The whole common room area had a green hue to it and was full of tapestries. The best thing about the whole room was the fact that it was under the black lake so everything we saw through our windows was underwater.

"Girls dormitories on the right and boys on the left. You will find all of your things in your rooms already"

"See you later boys, were going to our dorms"

Thankfully I and Pansy were put in the same dorm with just one other girl. Her name was on her trunk and was said to be Alena Clarke. She walked in just two minutes after us. She had bright blonde hair and it was cut to a length just above her shoulders. She was a couple of inches taller than me and had the cutest shoes on.

"So are you a pureblood?"

"Pans you can't just ask that but are you?

"Yes I am, and my guess is you both are as well."

"Well of course" I replied "Now let's get our stuff unpacked and go exploring with the boys"

After we finished unpacking we walked back to the common room and saw Draco and the boys sitting on the couch next to the fire with a boy I hadn't seen yet. He had dark skin and hair.

"Girls this is Vaisey Thommas, he's rooming with us"

"Nice to meet you, and this is Alena, now let's go look around also we need to find out where our classes are gonna be on Monday."

We walked around the inside of the castle for a couple of minutes when we decided to go outside.

"Let's go see the lake from the outside this time."

We walked over to the lake and it was honestly the most beautiful view I had ever seen. We all sat down and looked over our class schedules to see what classes we had with what other houses.

"Oh my god thanks so annoying" I exclaimed

"What is"

"We have our first class, Transfiguration with the stupid Gryfindoors."

"That's so annoying, whatever"

"We should head back to the castle for dinner."

I am so ready, the food here is so delicious. As we walked into the great hall I noticed people looking our way.

"I guess we are the coolest crew up in this place" I whispered to raco who was walking beside me. "I quite like it"

After dinner we made our way back to the common room and got ready for bed.
