You all but slammed the book in front of Tom onto the table in the library, a book you had went to great lengths to get and gotten to finally shut up after the wailing had nearly driven you mad.
A book, you knew, Tom had desperately wanted to get his hands on. And you finally had it. He had looked annoyed that someone had bothered him in the middle of his research for horcruxes but when his eyes met the old cover all of that washed away.
His eyes met yours, a look of disbelief on his face.
"Go on then, ask me. " You quipped, walking around to the other side of the table to sit beside him.
"Ask you what?" Tom looked up at you for a second, his eyes going back to the book in front of him. His fingers running along the edge of the pages.
You leaned forward, your hand on his thigh as your lips brushed his ear softly. "Ask me how I did it." You whispered, he could see the smirk on your face without even looking at you.
"How did you do it?" He played along, turning his head slightly to meet your gaze, fully aware of the hand slowly rising up his leg.
"I'm brilliant that's how." You replied, "The greatest and brightest." He rolled his eyes, his smirk matching yours, shaking his head.
"You're something else you know that?" It was a rhetorical question, one he had asked on multiple occasions but never got an actual answer. You were his most trusted confidant and he wouldn't have it any other way.
He was too busy with the book, flipping through it's pages in excitement to pay attention to what you were doing. Your hand was on his member, slowly rubbing it, trying to distract him, something you knew all too well how to do. "Stop." He murmured, trying to read the same sentence he had been reading for the past two minutes. You didn't listen, your movements only going slightly faster, he could feel your fingers wrapping around him tighter.
He grabbed your wrist, stopping you. "Not. Now." You huffed, frowning and snatching your arm away from him.
"Fine. I'll go find someone else to entertain me." You stood from the chair and his fingers wrapped around your wrist again. His eyes met yours, sending you a silent warning. You stopped for a moment, and Tom thought, for once you wouldn't defy him but the moment didn't last long. Again, you got out of his grip and walked swiftly out of the library.
"20 points to Slytherin." Professor Slughorn smiled warmly at you, the smug look on your face was enough for anyone to know how highly you thought of yourself. You felt the air around you change, someone inched their way into your personal space.
Avery.
The boy had a way of worming his way next to you as much as possible. Finding it hard to stay away from you for whatever reason. A fact that didn't get passed Tom. His eyes burning holes to back of his head as he watched him lean into his girl and whisper in your ear, smiling as you looked at the boy.
It made Tom's blood boil hotter each passing second he saw him next to you.
As Slughorn dragged on, you felt another pair of eyes on you, aside from the obvious ones coming from Avery. These eyes belonged to someone else completely. The thought of him watching you gave you goosebumps and made your thighs squeeze together. He wasn't even touching you and you felt like falling apart.
You were barely even listening to Avery as he continued whispering to you, the gaze from behind you almost becoming too much to bare. Almost. You enjoyed your games too much to falter under his pressure, deciding to tantalize him – knowing he couldn't do a single thing in the classroom.
