"Hey Kiji, can you get Hajime from the game room for me? I kinda forgot he was there." Mitsuru said.
Kiji nodded his head and without another word he left the meeting room and walked off to the game room where Hajime was. As Kiji walked down the hall he couldn't help but think about a conversation he had with inmate 11 a few days ago.
"I just don't know what to do really. I mean, I spent my whole life hiding who I was out of fear of being bullied again, now that I'm older it just feels like I should finally be out for good. But when I think of doing that, I'm pulled right back into the closet and I feel like I have to be fake all over again. I know the others won't really do that, I mean they're part of the LGBTQ too! But I can't help but be scared, I just don't want to be alone again."
"Oh 11. You truly have been hurt, you never really ever had the chance to be proud of who you are." Kiji mumbled his breath. Kiji made it to the game room and just as he was about to head in he heard something.
"I still wonder from time to time about why my bio dad didn't want me."
That was 11.
'Strange. Mitsuru didn't say anything about 11 being in there.' Kiji thought to himself. He wanted to barge in but he found himself getting interested in what was happening. He stayed on the other side of the door of the game room and listened to the conversation the two were having, along with what they were saying. Kiji carefully looked through the door and nearly blew his cover when he saw Hajime HOLDING his inmate.
Hajime.
A man who could kill you in a second.
A man who barely showed any type of affection or emotion.
He was HOLDING his inmate and COMFORTING his inmate.
Kiji thought he was dreaming.
He had to be.
But no.
Kiji was actually witnessing something he didn't even think was possible.
"Well, this is something." Kiji said underneath his breath, Kiji took a second to breath, he knocked on the door startling the two. The guard and inmate immediately separated from each other and moved away as Kiji walked in.
"There you are Hajime. Mitsuru wants everyone in the meeting room, it's about the recent news of the warden." Kiji said. Hajime nodded his head as he stood up from the couch, Uno copying his movements.
"I'll take 11 back to his cell, tell Mitsuru I'll be there in a bit." Hajime said. He slapped the cuffs back on Uno and the two walked past Kiji, when the door closed behind them Kiji chuckled to himself as he saw blush spread all over Uno's cheeks when Kiji entered the room.
Oh, he and Hajime were definitely going to have a talk about this later.
(After the meeting)
Kiji and Hajime walked side by side down the hall of the prison, the meeting was well, Kiji and Hajime were talking about the news and what was going to happen. "So, who do you think they'll be?" Hajime asked.
"I don't know. I mean, it's not like we're replacing the warden, we just have someone filling in for her while she's away for a couple of months." Kiji said.
Hajime thought back to what Mitsuru said during the meeting.
"Due to recent news, the warden is going to be gone for a couple of months. She trusts us to keep the prison in top shape while she is gone, but for extra measure she has put complete trust in me to find someone to help look after the prison."
