Last minute book orders are being placed. The cafe counter is being wiped. Readers are finishing up their chapters. Some high school students are cleaning up their study materials. The bookstore is starting to simmer down as the evening closing time approaches.
Woosh! Chet barges through the doors. His mind is set for the destination: manga section.
There's a girl over there in the foreign comics area pulling out another book to buy. As she carries out her stack of manga to check out, she notices something odd.
"Oh wow. I've never seen these shelves so empty." This particular bookcase has gold ribbons lining the sides and only one lonely book laying down flat. The girl already has her hands full, but it wouldn't hurt to maybe buy one more. She rests her manga on the ground and plucks up the last book. "Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Part 5?" Her eyes briefly gloss over the cover. "This art style is really different from what I'm used to... Mmm..." she glances at her stack, "I'm not ready to break out of my moe phase yet." She places the book back down on the shelf; immediately Chet snatches that golden manga and rushes out to the check out line like an ER doctor being called. He fidgets as the cashier scans the book.
"And here you go just as the promotion promises." The cashier hands him the limited edition jojo part 5 card pack.
"Thanks," he says with a wide smile. It's finally his! But wait, the job isn't over yet. With the manga and the precious card pack held close to his chest, he runs out to the park.
