Ch 2- A Month Later

"Jamie Richards, I give you mercy". I said as I shot the middle aged Z. You would think that I'm use to this by now, but I'm not. I notice he has fresh blood on him from the cat he was eating. The cat was right next to him. my mouth began to water. I may be half human, but I still crave blood. I felt my teeth sharpen and then my eyes became red like they were blood shot . The smell of blood was so strong and I wanted to taste it so badly. Maybe just one bite the cats already dead it won't suffer. I kneeled down on the ground and touched blood. I was just about to drink when I heard my brother, Charles garnet call me. " you alright there Aub" he asked with a look of concern on his features. I snapped out of what ever bloodlust I was in. " yeah big bro I'm good. I grab my necklace as I said that. It was the necklace he gave me. It's the only thing that helps me remember that I am human. ( photo of necklace above. =D ) Oh man I can't believe I was going to drink from a dead cat, what the hell is wrong with me. "Let's just meet back up with the group, yeah?"

*10 minutes later*
" Hey did you guys find anything?" Roberta asked. "Yeah we found some pain killers, water, food" I said. " And some gas" doc said as he came out of nowhere. "Oh yeah great now can we get out of here before the Z's catch up with us" Murphy said. "Quite Murphy were leaving now" Roberta said. "Whoa puppies and kittens coming our way" Charles said. We all ready ourselves. I notice 10k right beside me aiming his sniper at the Z's. God he looks like such a badass. Wait what the hell am I think. I need to focus on surviving. "Murphy get In the truck, the rest of you get ready." I said. "Gladly" he said. The Z's started sprinting at us, I shoot first with my deagle. ( which is one of my many weapons. I have a knife, katana, scar with a scope, and a pistol with a laser and flashlight). It's goes straight through his head. Then the rest start shooting. Soon were all in the truck getting the hell out of there.

I'm siting in the back of the truck with Addy, Mac and 10k. I started quietly singing Thunder from boys like girls. " wow you have an amazing voice" 10k says. I blush and say thanks. "Yeah" addy says, i wish I could sing like that. "More like annoying. I'm trying to sleep here." I just roll my eyes. " don't listen to him aubree your voice is beautiful, I would love to hear you sing everyday" 10k says. " calm down there lover boy Mack says. 10k blushes and looks down, I just laugh. " hey big brother what are we gonna do for the night?" I yell. "Well citizen Z says that there's an abandoned bomb shelter a few miles from here that should be stocked up." Did you forget what happen last time we were in a military base Murphy says. Well let me jog your memory We Were Attacked By Rosemary's Demon Baby!". " yeah I hate to agree with Murphy, but we have no idea what's there Cassandra says. " I mean how well do we know this citizen Z, he could just be leading us into a trap." True but we have no other choice. We need a place to rest and stock up. Might as well check it out and if anything is sketchy we get out." I said. But I also don't think that the Z guy would set us up. I mean he needs the immune guy. He won't survive on his own. " Hey I'm not useless" Murphy says. " that's questionable" Roberta says. " But I think Aubree is right, it's worth checking out. In the mean time you guys rest up we still got a long way". I was just about to close my eye when I felt a tap on my arm. It was 10k. " You can lean on me if you like, you know to be comfortable". I debated for a mean then thought what the heck might as well. He's just being nice nothing else. So I layed on him and soon fell asleep.

** about 4 miles later**
I feel someone shaking me and 10k to get up, it was addy." Hey we're here she says with a smirk. I wake up and see that I'm am basically laying on top of 10k and his arms are rapped around me. I feel safe in his arms and I just wanna stay here forever. Then I realize what I'm doing, I'm getting to attached. I break myself out of his hold. He looks startled. I just look at him and say we're here. Then I start walking towards my brother. You okay he asked me. Yeah, I'm just pretty tired i say. " well were about get some rest". But are you sure your okay with like the blood thing?" I laugh " yeah trust me i would be on a rampage if that was the case." " good to know " Murphy says. I just roll me eyes. "Okay guys lets make sure this place is safe" Roberta says. Get your partners. "I got Aubree" 10k says. " yeah me too Doc says. Why would 10k choose me? I hope he doesn't think that the car thing meant anything. " don't worry I got your back he says, I nod. Alright Charles and Murphy your with me Roberta says. Mack, addy and Cassandra are together. Okay guys check the perimeter. As I was check my corners I felt 10k walk up to me. " you okay he asks because you seem pretty shaken up back there?" Yeah I'm good just need some rest. check your corners i said. He just nodded. Doc was looking at us weird and j just shook me head and kept on walking.
A few minutes later we met back up with the group. " all good guys?" My brother ask. Yeah no Z's in sight doc says. " Well great can we get a move on then. I need my beauty sleep " Murphy says. Yeah princess were getting there Roberta says. We start moving but stop because we hear zombie moaning." Puppies and kittens on the prowl" Roberta says. We all ready up and turn the corner. There are about 20 zombies blocking our path into the bomb shelter. There are a few fast ones there. " well ready guys?" I say as I grab my katana . What we're not gonna fight them murphy says. Let's just get out of here". No we're all ready here. We can take them I say. Everyone nods. " we're so gonna die Murphy says. We just ignore him and ready ourselves for the fight......
